On April 23, in Kaifeng and Luoyang, Xinhua Bookstores launched immersive research projects at the same time.
After a "travel journey", the participating primary school students not only had an in-depth understanding of the knowledge behind famous paintings, but also learned history and poetry.
According to reports, this is the Zhongyuan Publishing and Media Group Joint Innovation Consortium Enterprise, on the basis of the two paper books published by Henan Fine Arts Publishing House, "Qingming Riverside Picture - A Day in the Song Dynasty" and "Luo Shen Futu - Cao Zhi's Love", developed an immersive script research project. The setting of the task mode, the construction of scene props and the implantation of entertainers form a moving line with a theme story, and students participate in it through role-playing, and complete learning and exploration in the "story".
Taking Kaifeng Xinhua Bookstore's "Qingming Riverside Picture - A Day in the Song Dynasty" as an example, it is divided into three scenes: "Song Ci Charm" is about "a literati's day", "A Strong Country and a Strong General" is "A Soldier's Day", and "Ingenuity Inheritance" is "A Craftsman's Day". In the "Day of the Literati," the students not only had a dialogue with "Zhang Zeduan" and "Li Qingzhao" and drank tea, but also recited their words with "Su Shi" and "Xin Qiji"; in the "Day of a Soldier," the students became "recruits," experienced the yellow robe of "Zhao Kuangyin," learned about the weapons of the Song Dynasty, and followed "Yue Fei" to arrange troops on the sand table and study the strategy of killing the enemy in battle; and in the "A Day of a Craftsman," they had to help "Bi Sheng" do movable type printing, and also made Zhu Xianzhen's woodblock New Year paintings by themselves.

Different from ordinary "research" or travel, immersive research relies on high-quality book content, and children learn knowledge unconsciously while being entertained. This kind of immersive research is an exploration jointly made by Zhongyuan Publishing and Media Group and the innovation consortium enterprises.
"The goal of research is experiential learning, and most of the current research is taught by teachers and listened by students, and there is no sense of participation among children. In this immersive research project, there are book content, knowledge quizzes, hands-on operations, etc., to continuously strengthen and review the subject knowledge in the books, which can well improve the effect of reading and research.
