At the conference, Li Di, CEO of Xiaoice, spoke in depth about the diversity of AI Being and the future that is becoming a reality. Li Di said that the current era of AI artificial intelligence is still in a very early barbaric era, and many definitions are wrong.
For example, Li Di said that when the early AI companies first accumulated and trained data, they once removed all the flaws of human beings. It took a lot of effort to remove them, such as swallowing sounds, various childlike sounds, and slurred speech. It was later discovered that the most comfortable sound was precisely the sound that contained all kinds of human flaws. And the perfect sound, the words are round, everyone can't hear it for long, they can't accept it.
Beginning in 2014, Xiaoice began measuring smart voice assistants with a new metric, the degree of naturalness. By means of an average comfort time, it measures how long a sound can be tolerated by the user. Li Di believes that today, the more important thing is not to use our technology to subvert the public perception, but once we transform these technologies into some actual products, these products are not only cold DAU and MAU data, but also these products themselves are constantly subverting our creators themselves, constantly letting us know that many of the concepts we understood before are wrong. So, one better way to foresee the future is to create it and keep observing [the future] in the process.
In addition, Li Di also said that everyone in the Xiaoice team has their own VERSION of AI, and one day, when Li Di tried to unlock the WeChat voice login with his own AI voice, he succeeded. According to the prior art, it is not yet possible to do specific identification through voiceprint recognition. Therefore, Xiaoice will not model ordinary people, nor will it open THE API, nor open source, because it is not yet possible to explore the real risks of the technology now and in the future.
