"The Beidou satellite navigation system is a national heavy weapon, a space-based lighthouse, and a basic project like water energy, electric energy, and the Internet." Xie Jun introduced that China's Beidou navigation system has launched 59 satellites, of which Beidou-1 has launched a total of 4 satellites, all of which have been decommissioned from orbit; Beidou-2 has launched a total of 20 satellites, and 15 are currently working in orbit; Beidou-3 has launched a total of 35 satellites, a total of 5 test satellites, and 30 networking satellites.
"China's Beidou system is independently developed, is a world-class Beidou, serving China and serving the world." Xie Jun said that China's aerospace industry has been handed down from generation to generation, and generations of people have continued to struggle, which contains the true color of self-improvement. The beidou spirit of the new era includes independent innovation, open integration, unity of purpose, and the pursuit of excellence.
In his speech, Xie Jun revealed that today is a period of vigorous development and wide application of satellite navigation, the next step of the Beidou system will develop a comprehensive PNT system in the whole sky domain, and the vision is to develop a space-time reference network and navigation information service network for the integration of heaven and earth.
When the on-site students asked, compared with other countries, what are the outstanding advantages of the Beidou system? Xie Jun said that the biggest advantage of the Beidou system is the integration of communication and navigation functions. The other is precision, especially regional precision, such a road is a Chinese road, a Chinese wisdom and a Chinese solution.
Talent is the cornerstone of China's aerospace industry. Xie Jun shouted to the young people of Hong Kong that the research of the Beidou system is multidisciplinary, and that knowledge and talents in any aspect are needed, especially the talents of chemistry and physics are needed to invest in the project, and hope that the young people in Hong Kong will cherish the current opportunities, plan their own development direction, and make greater contributions to the construction of the motherland, the development of the aerospace industry, and the promotion of Beidou.
