Biography
Wu Songjin, pen name Songjin, is a national first-class songwriter and senior music producer. Born in Jiujiang in 1946, he spent his childhood in Lanzhou, Yinchuan and Chengdu, and graduated from the Composition Department of Shanghai Conservatory of Music. This veteran artist with both virtue and art has worked quietly in the Chinese music scene for half a lifetime. He has composed more than 5,000 good songs. The hot songs in KTV, "Green Flowers in the Army", "Tea Mountain Love Songs", "Girl's Mind You Don't Guess", "Love Brother Goes to the South", "Is It Snowing There", "Wind with Love water and laughter", "Little Hand Clap" are all from Song Jin's hand. His works have spread throughout the country and influenced four generations of Chinese people, middle- and young. As a "Bole in the Singing World", he has also trained many star disciples such as Yang Yuying, Chen Sisi, Zhou Liang, Xiao Zeng, Huang Weilin (Macau), Ren Miaoyin, Xiao Bei bud group and so on. In the past three years, nine concerts of "Ode to the Present" have been successfully held in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Nanchang, Ningxia, Singapore, Japan and Chengdu.

Although more than half a century has passed, the little boy who loved music has become an old musician with white hair. But Mr. Wu Songjin is obsessed with the childhood he spent in Lanzhou. The first song he remembers in his life is "Days in the Liberated Areas" sung by the Yangge team in the streets when He was liberated in Lanzhou in 1949. He had heard the "flowers" sung by the old man herding sheep in Hualin Mountain, watched the opera "Little Erhei Marriage" of the Gansu Provincial Opera Troupe at the Yellow River Theater, the social fire parade of the Spring Festival, Qin Cavity, Meihu, Yang Opera, Lanzhou Drums... They all became his unforgettable childhood memories, educated him, and nurtured him.
On the morning of December 7th, Mr. Wu Songjin, a famous Songwriter in China who is more than 60 years old, returned to his alma mater in Qilihe District, Lanzhou City, Hualin Road First Primary School. Revisiting the old place, although many of the landscapes in the memory no longer exist, but looking at the more beautiful school environment, the old man Wu Songjin is more pleased than sighing. On the same day, he not only donated the "Ode to the Present Music Classroom" for the First Primary School of Hualin Road, and donated musical instruments worth more than 20,000 yuan together with the Gansu Provincial Performance Industry Association and Lanzhou Duolinqin Behavior School, but also opened a multi-category music teaching course for the school. I also put forward my hopes, looking forward to the 3rd China (Gansu) Cultural Tourism Performing Arts Exchange Conference held at the Gansu Provincial Performance Industry Association on the evening of January 1, 2021 at the Lanzhou University Gymnasium - "Ode to the Music Works Stars Concert" and the "Little Brothers and Sisters" of the alma mater to perform on the same stage!
In the afternoon of the same day, Mr. Wu Songjin also went to Zhangye Road Primary School and Jinta Lane Primary School to interact happily with the teachers and students of the school. The choral performance of the students of Zhangye Road Primary School for the "old classmates" deeply touched Mr. Wu Songjin. At Jinta Lane Primary School, the school guzheng team and the recitation team welcomed the arrival of "old classmates" with a unique talent performance, a beautiful and touching song of "jasmine"; in the music classroom, the students sang the songs "Pumpkins Planted under Jinggang Mountain" and "Jinta Lane Primary School Song" composed by mr. Recalling his alma mater, Mr. Wu Songjin said: "More than 60 years ago, I studied at Lanzhou Zhonghua Road Primary School, Hualingping Primary School and Gonghe Road Primary School. At that time, Hualinping Primary School was now Hualin Road First Primary School, which was born during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, when the Battle of Shenjialing to liberate Lanzhou took place on the hill behind our school. When we were in elementary school, my teachers were from all over the country, at that time Mandarin was not yet popular, everyone was speaking different dialects in class, at that time there was a Tianjin teacher who was deeply impressed, and the class was the same as saying crosstalk, we were lovely to listen! The teachers in each class are very dedicated and encourage us to study hard. The school also carried out a lot of red education classes, which deeply affected me. The reason why I wrote a lot of red songs later is necessarily related to the patriotic education I received in school as a child. ”

Especially when the students saw that the elderly Wu Songjin was sitting in the classroom wearing a red scarf like them, listening carefully to the lessons and actively answering the teacher's questions, everyone accepted the "senior" more and happily communicated with the elderly Wu Songjin. When they heard that the songwriter taught in the music class was the old man in front of them, the students were even happier.

"My original name was Wu Zhaolu. In 1948, when I was more than one year old, my father, who was an accountant, was transferred to lanzhou postal savings and exchange bureau, so I followed my parents from my hometown in Jiujiang, Jiangxi to Lanzhou and lived in the Jiangxi Guild Hall on Gonghe Road. I attended Zhonghua Road Primary School (now Zhangye Road Primary School), Hualinping Primary School (now Hualin Road First Primary School), and Gonghe Road Primary School (now Jinta Lane Primary School). In 1958, he left Lanzhou and went with his parents to Yinchuan, Ningxia. This time I returned to Lanzhou to hold a concert, in order to thank the place where childhood music started, and to repay the teachers, classmates and neighbors and friends of that year. However, with the passage of time, the teacher and friend have long since disappeared. How can I contact them? That's the thing that bothers me the most! Speaking of the preparation of the performance, Mr. Wu Songjin had a lot of distress. The seventy-year-old artist told reporters that he especially wanted to find the best teachers, classmates and friends of the year, and looked forward to everyone coming to watch his work concert on the day of his performance and recount friendship.
