After studying in Chengdu for a year and a half, Wu Songjin said that it was the happiest day of his childhood. Chengdu has also become the place where Wu Song's music began in his youth.
The paintings sent by elementary school classmate Ren Guowen have been preserved by Wu Song to this day; the score of the folk songs of junior high school classmate Wang Suqing's hometown can be hummed out to this day; the commemorative album and photos of his classmates presented by the primary school are his most cherished memories.

Chengdu is also one of the places where Wu Songjin's music was enlightened. In the first year of junior high school, Wu Songjin wrote his song debut in Chengdu.
Wu Songjin's original name was Wu Zhaolu, and he transferred to Chengdu in 1959. In February 1960, he enrolled in the eighth class of the sixth year and 1st class of the Bayi Primary School of the Chengdu Military Region (now merged into Shaocheng Primary School), and graduated from the primary school after one semester. In 1960, he entered Chengdu No. 28 Middle School (now Chengdu Shude Xiejin Middle School) to attend the fourth class of the 63rd grade, and after more than a year of study, he left Chengdu in August 1961 and returned to his hometown in Jiangxi with his retired parents.
"At that time, the relationship between the classmates was particularly good. When I graduated from elementary school, the school gave me a souvenir booklet, and I wrote down the names of my classmates, including the names of the class teacher and the principal. They also gave me some photos, which I still keep to this day. Wu Songjin recalled.

Ren Guowen, a good classmate in the same class, gave him a painting when he graduated, "It is a drawing of the Tibetan old man riding a horse, which is particularly well drawn, and I have always kept it." I heard that he was later admitted to the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts in Chongqing. Wu Songjin remembers his junior high school classmate Zhang Longxi, who is very good at drawing. "Because I also like art, I often paint together after class. I still have several copycats that he gave me. I heard that Zhang Longxi is now a professor at the City University of Hong Kong and is a well-known alumnus of his alma mater. ”
