Chengdu is also one of the places where Wu Songjin's music was enlightened. In the first year of junior high school, Wu Songjin wrote his song debut in Chengdu.

Wu Songjin's original name was Wu Zhaolu, and he transferred to Chengdu in 1959. In February 1960, he enrolled in the eighth class of the sixth year and 1st class of the Bayi Primary School of the Chengdu Military Region (now merged into Shaocheng Primary School), and graduated from the primary school after one semester. In 1960, he entered Chengdu No. 28 Middle School (now Chengdu Shude Xiejin Middle School) to attend the fourth class of the 63rd grade, and after more than a year of study, he left Chengdu in August 1961 and returned to his hometown in Jiangxi with his retired parents.

"At that time, the relationship between the classmates was particularly good. When I graduated from elementary school, the school gave me a souvenir booklet, and I wrote down the names of my classmates, including the names of the class teacher and the principal. They also gave me some photos, which I still keep to this day. Wu Songjin recalled.

Wu Songjin still remembers that the class teacher is Wu Jianguo. The teacher who taught music was named Xie Lilin, who once arranged a program for him, and took him to perform outside the school on Children's Day. Among the best students in the primary school class are Yao Xiao'an (Yao Anchao), Luo Guisheng, Chen Huachuan, Ren Guowen, He Lingsheng, He Beisheng, Song Fayang, Chen Yuping, Guo Guifeng, Wu Yuxi, Li Xiaohan, etc.

Ren Guowen, a good classmate in the same class, gave him a painting when he graduated, "It is a drawing of the Tibetan old man riding a horse, which is particularly well drawn, and I have always kept it." I heard that he was later admitted to the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts in Chongqing. "Classmate Yao Xiaoan also loves literature and art, and I have similar interests," we applied to the Beijing Dance School together. ”

He was in the third year of junior high school, I was in the first year of junior high school, that would be very much love of literature and art, he also liked it, the two of them went very close, he treated me as a brother, and the delicious food was left to me. After graduation, he went to work as a worker in naxi forestry, and we also passed a letter.

In the first year of high school, there was a classmate named Zhang Jialin, "Nickname kp, which is the abbreviation of potassium and phosphorus on the chemical periodic table." I wrote a song called "Kwa Hometown" and he helped me revise the lyrics. In 1961, when celebrating the party's birthday, they performed together. ”

There is also a female classmate in the same class named Wang Suqing. "She would sing a lot of folk songs from her hometown, so I would help her record them and copy them in a notebook." It was very helpful for my later music creation. Wu Songjin remembers that the folk song "A Green Fruit with Two Tips" written for her later became the melody material when she created "Chengdu Snacks".

Wu Songjin remembers his junior high school classmate Zhang Longxi, who is very good at drawing. "Because I also like art, I often paint together after class. I still have several copycats that he gave me. I heard that Zhang Longxi is now a professor at the City University of Hong Kong and is a well-known alumnus of his alma mater. ”
