On May 16, 417 beef cattle from Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia "came all the way" to settle in the cattle supermarket of the 800 Farm in Danxia Town, Panzhou City. Up to now, Panzhou City has introduced a total of 2,734 high-quality beef cattle this year, involving 41 farms.
Xia Ying, deputy director of the Panzhou Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, said that this year, the task of introducing cattle from outside the province in Panzhou City is 6,000 heads, and 2,259 heads have been completed in the first quarter, exceeding the task. This time, the 417 cattle we imported from Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia are all carefully selected high-quality cattle. In the next step, we will increase the efforts to introduce cattle from outside the province and promote the development of the beef cattle industry.
Since the beginning of this year, Panzhou City has conscientiously implemented the relevant deployment of the province on accelerating the development of the beef cattle industry, gradually introduced high-quality beef cattle from outside the province, realized the expansion of the herd, promoted the rapid development of the beef cattle industry, and is committed to building the beef cattle industry into one of the leading industries to help farmers increase income, promote farmers' income, and boost rural revitalization.
At present, there are 113,000 beef cattle in Panzhou, and there are more than 50,000 cattle raising households, of which 19,000 have been lifted out of poverty. In the next step, the Panzhou Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and other relevant departments will do a good job in the service of the beef cattle industry and the operation of the beef cattle supermarket, so that the masses can buy cattle with high quality and reasonable prices, so that the masses can rest assured that they can increase their income through beef cattle breeding. At the same time, we should do a good job in rural credit, agricultural finance, policy insurance, etc., to ensure that farmers have financial support and insurance support for the development of the beef cattle industry, and provide a strong guarantee for the development of the industry.
It is understood that in order to guide poverty alleviation households to develop beef cattle breeding, according to relevant policies, Panzhou City has formulated a work plan for the 2024 household industry reward and subsidy project, and the poverty alleviation households (monitoring objects) will be subsidized according to 4,500 yuan/head (each household does not exceed 50D0 yuan), and according to the subsidy policy formulated by the province, they will enjoy a subsidy of 500 yuan/head, and each poverty alleviation household (monitoring object) can enjoy a total subsidy of 5,000 yuan for cattle introduction outside the province.
