After investigation, 20 women were deceived, and the amount involved reached more than 200,000 yuan.

In early October, the criminal police brigade of the Lieshan Branch of the Huaibei City Public Security Bureau received a report from Ms. Li that she had been defrauded of more than 60,000 yuan by her "boyfriend". After careful questioning, the police learned that during the Spring Festival this year, Ms. Li met a male netizen through the online platform, who claimed to be surnamed Zhou and ran a garment factory in Suzhou. With the in-depth understanding of video chat, Ms. Li was very satisfied with the handsome, gentle and considerate Zhou, and the two quickly established a romantic relationship. After the two met, Zhou often drove a luxury car to take Ms. Li in and out of some high-end places, which made Ms. Li more convinced of Zhou's identity. When Zhou proposed that his garment factory funds could not be turned around for a while, Ms. Li did not hesitate to agree to borrow money. Since then, Zhou has frequently borrowed money on the grounds of lost logistics goods and family members being sick and hospitalized, and borrowed more than 60,000 yuan before and after.

However, on the eve of this year's Mid-Autumn Festival, Ms. Li proposed to Zhou to repay the money because of the need for money at home. But what Ms. Li did not expect was that Zhou began to find various reasons to shirk, and did not answer the phone to Zhou, even if it was opened, she did not resign on the grounds of busy work. At this time, Ms. Li felt that she might have been deceived and went to the public security organ to report the case.

After listening to Ms. Li's story, the police believed that this was a typical contact fraud, and immediately launched an investigation into the case. Through the analysis and judgment of the clues provided by Ms. Li, the police quickly locked the true identity of Zhou Mou and successfully arrested him in the field on October 8. After arriving at the case, Zhou did not admit to his fraud, saying that he was just "in love". However, after the police showed Zhou the contact information of nearly 100 women in his mobile phone and other evidence, Zhou finally truthfully confessed his criminal facts.

Originally, Zhou's real surname is Qin, is an authentic farmer, but Qin has been idle, not doing business, in order to be able to easily "make money", he will look for "targets" through the network platform, with his handsome appearance pretending to be "rich and handsome", cheating the favor of young women, and then under the guise of "falling in love", after gaining the trust of the other party, he "borrowed money" for various reasons to cheat. Through more than half a month of in-depth investigation, the police found that Qin used the same means to defraud 20 women in more than two years, and the amount involved reached more than 200,000 yuan.

On November 4, the criminal suspect Qin Mou was arrested according to law for suspected fraud, and the case is being further handled.
