Tang poetry has "three Li", the poetry immortal Li Bai brought romance to Tang poetry, Li He brought fantasy, and Li Shangyin let the late Tang Dynasty blow up a lingering love wind. The existence of Li Shangyin and Du Mu made the increasingly declining Tang poetry rise again in the late Tang Dynasty. His aesthetic pursuit of poetry even surpassed that of the Poets of the Sheng Tang Dynasty, which is reflected in several of his classics.
Because the words are exquisite, Li Shangyin's poems are a kind of enjoyment in words. The beauty of "Chang'e should repent of stealing the elixir, the blue sea and the blue sky and the night heart" in "Chang'e", the poignant beauty of "He Dang cut the western window candle together, but when it rains at night" in "Chang'e", and the hazy beauty of "The pearl of the moon in the sea and the pearl, the warm jade and smoke in the blue field" in "Jinser", every sentence is amazing. The words arrived in Li Yishan's hands, just like the silk thread reached the hands of the best embroidery lady, one stitch and one thread word by word, out of the blue.
What I want to share with you in this issue is a poem by Li Shangyin that is seriously underestimated, the title of the poem is "Tianya". At present, no famous critics have been found in the Tang and Song Dynasties, and the reason may be that it seems too simple to write. However, if you taste it carefully, you will find that the whole poem is just 20 words and cannot be changed, although it is written with sadness, it is written with great anger and circulation for thousands of years. Let's take a look:
"Tianya" Tang. Li Shangyin's spring day is at the end of the world, and the end of the world is oblique. The warbler cries like tears, for the wet highest flowers.
Li Shangyin was 42 years old when he wrote this poem, which was the most difficult time in his life for him. At this time, Li Shangyin had long been appointed by the imperial court, and he was discouraged, and this year his friends invited him to be his staff, although he was unwilling but in order to make a living, he had to do so. So this great poet who was famous in his early years began the last wandering of his life, and it was when he fell to the end of the world that he wrote this poem "Tianya", and died of illness in Zhengzhou 3 years after writing this poem.
Poetically, the poem is extremely tragic; but literally, it is extremely gorgeous. The first two sentences of the poem begin with an extraordinary pen, the grass grows and the warblers fly in the spring, while the poet wanders alone at the end of the world; at this time, the sunset at the end of the world is gradually falling to the west, which makes people more sad. These two sentences are a model of music scenery to set off sorrow, the more beautiful the spring light, the easier it is to make the wandering people increase their sadness. At the same time, in terms of structure, it uses the thimble between sentences, and repeats "Tianya" twice, which not only strengthens the tone but also makes people shine.
The last two sentences are addressed to the yellow warbler, and the poet says to the yellow warbler who cries every day: If you have tears in your heart, sprinkle the tears on the highest part of the branch for me. Why do you have to water the "highest flower"? Because it is different from the flowers that can be sheltered under the branches, it can only stand on its own when it stands on its own, even if it is exposed to wind and sun, it does not move, which is where the poet appreciates it. These two sentences are obviously fictional, the poet empathizes and things, the highest flower here refers to the wandering self, it seems to be sad flowers and flowers, but in fact, it is sad to hurt yourself.
Looking at this poem, from the use of language, although it looks extremely simple and the meaning of the words is easy to understand, it can be described as a pearl of words, and a word cannot be changed. In the rendering of the artistic conception, from the opening of the music scene, to the hurt by the music scene, and then to the poignant beauty of the last two sentences, it can be regarded as a one-off, which is the reason why it can be passed down for thousands of years.
