In the spring, poet Li Qun went to The Beach Village of Zunyi Xinpu New District to carry out cultural exchange activities

On November 7, 2021, spring poet Li Qun was invited by the Zunyi Xinpu New District Beach Culture Research promotion association to visit the beach village of Xinzhou Town, Xinpu New District, Zunyi City, and carry out cultural exchange activities. Li Yilin, executive vice president of the Beach Culture Research promotion association, Cai Qin, secretary general, Li Jing, responsible editor of "Beach Wenyuan", Wang Jianguo, Liu Yi, director of the Civil Affairs Office of Xinzhou Town, and Deng Mingyang, general secretary of the party branch of Beach Village, attended the event. Xu Ge, a member of the Guizhou Photographers Association, was invited to serve as the chief photographer of the event.

Shatan Village, Xinzhou Town, Xinpu New District, Zunyi City, is located in Qianbei and is named after a sandbar surrounded by water in the Le'an River that runs through the village. From the end of the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty, a large number of well-known Chinese and foreign cultural celebrities represented by Zheng Zhen, Mo Youzhi and Li Shuchang were born here, and their academic achievements had a far-reaching impact, known as "beach culture". Based on this, in the cultural circles of Guizhou, there has always been a saying that "Guizhou culture is in Qianbei, Qianbei culture is in Zunyi, and Zunyi culture is on the beach". There are still many cultural relics and monuments preserved in The Beach Village today, among which the former residence of Mr. Li Shuchang, a famous diplomat and essayist in the late Qing Dynasty, was announced by the Guizhou Provincial People's Government as a "Provincial Patriotic Education Base" and a "Provincial Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit", and was supported by the Central Museum for free and special funds. Today, The Former Residence of Li Shuchang has become an important cultural business card of Xinpu New District in Zunyi City, receiving about 100,000 tourists every year. In the construction of the new socialist countryside, through the leadership of the village party organization and the efforts of the majority of party members, the beach village now has many social and cultural tourism business cards such as "China Famous Village History Cultural Project Village", "Guizhou Provincial Civilization Demonstration Village", "Guizhou Rural Tourism Key Village", "Guizhou Provincial Democratic Rule of Law Demonstration Village" and so on.

During the visit and exchange activities, Li Yilin, executive vice president of the Beach Culture Research Promotion Association, and other comrades introduced the history of the beach, the essence and connotation of the beach culture, and introduced the work done by the Beach Culture Research promotion association since its establishment last year, as well as the future work ideas. Deng Mingyang, general secretary of the party branch of Shatan Village, introduced the village situation, the achievements made in the rural revitalization strategy, and the next step of work plan. Spring poet Li Qun introduced his life experience, work situation, poetry creation, and participation in charity and cultural activities.

Through the exchanges, everyone agreed that from the perspective of Guizhou's cultural history, Zunyi beach culture is definitely a miracle. The main essence of the beach cultural heritage lies in: insisting on running schools; studying hard; purchasing books and benefiting future generations; actively absorbing foreign cultures, having the courage to innovate and open up; feelings of home and country, and patriotism. Beach culture is the highland of Guizhou culture and will continue to play an important role in the future cultural construction of Guizhou. Today, we must strive for the support of various forces in society, further welcome in, go out, and strive to do a good job in the inheritance and promotion of beach culture.
