Steven Soderbergh creates a new Western-themed drama "Godless"
Recently, the new drama "Godless" starring Jack O'Connell, Jeff Daniels, Scott McNally, Merritt Weaver and other stars and produced by Netflix released official stills, showing a strong western style in the stills.
Set in the American West in the 1880s, the story tells the story of a habitual criminal named Frank Griffin (Jeff Daniels) who runs amok between small towns in the Western Wilderness.
Griffin is tracking down his enemy, Roy Goode (Jack O'Connell), who hides in a ranch run by Alice Fletcher (Michelle Dockry), in the mysterious town of La Belle, New Mexico, where the entirely female population is made up.
Frank, who has written the script for Minority Report and Wolverine, will direct And Godless and write the screenplay, with Soderbergh as executive producer. The series was filmed in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and will air on November 22.
Ritz Ahmed will star in Netflix's new series Hamlet
Shakespeare's masterpiece Hamlet will be brought to the screen by Netflix, starring British actor Ritz Ahmed. Previously, Kenneth Bryner, Ethan Hawke and Mel Gibson had played Hamlet on screen, and Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hiddleston had played this role on stage.
Hamlet, the longest of all Shakespeare's plays, tells the story of Hamlet's uncle Claudius, who murdered his father and usurped the throne and seized his mother, Jotrud, and Hamlet took revenge on his uncle. The new drama will be set in contemporary London, revolving around a story of family honour and moral responsibility in London's financial and political circles. Scripted by Michael Leslie, screenwriter of Macbeth and Assassin's Creed.
Liz Ahmed, who plays Hamlet, is well known to audiences for starring in "Star Wars Gaiden: Rogue One", won the Emmy Award for Best Actor in a Television Movie/Limited Drama this year for "Sin Night's Run", and he is also the first actor to win an Emmy Award in South Asian descent.
