In the village of the Southern Song Dynasty in Shangdang District, there stands a towering ancient building, the Jade Emperor Temple, and the Wufeng Tower is the ancient building of the Mountain Gate of the temple. As a landmark building of the Jade Emperor Temple, the Wufenglou Temple is tall, flexible in layout, simple and majestic, layered with corners and near-to-ceilings, and the eaves and green walls are dazzling. In particular, the proportions of the building are harmonious, the structure is magnificent and exquisite, the bucket arch is thick, the eaves are deep, and the four-corner wings fly, which means "five phoenixes spread their wings".

Wufenglou was founded in the era of no examination. According to the inscriptions of the main hall and the main door leaf, the forty-first year of the Ming Wanli Calendar (1613) and the thirty-eighth year of the Qianlong Qing Dynasty (1773) have been repaired, and the existing buildings WufengLou and the East Side Hall are the remains of the Yuan Dynasty, and the rest were built by the Ming and Qing dynasties. On May 25, 2006, the Jade Emperor Temple, as an ancient building from the Yuan to the Qing Dynasty, was listed by the State Council as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

This exquisite ancient building, stepping on the stone steps to support the railing upstairs with a window overlook, the earth into the eye, the mountains and rivers at a glance, in the distance there are high mountains and mountains, near the people's houses and livestock ridges, blue sky and white clouds, clear water and greenery, making people feel relaxed and pleasant.

Covering an area of 3,500 square meters, the Jade Emperor Temple is the largest surviving Taoist building in Shangdang District. Sitting north and facing south, its overall layout is a central axis running through the north and south, and after entering the view, it is successively the Five Phoenix Tower, the Pavilion, the Platform, and the Jade Emperor Hall. In the shadow of the pine cypress, the second floor of the bell and drum is located around the Five Phoenix Tower, and the east and west halls and boxes face each other, forming a large group of complete buildings. 

According to legend, the Jade Emperor had seven daughters, one daughter, Zhi Huai, was married to Dong Yong, and the other was a weaver girl, who married Niu Lang. The other five daughters, Jinfeng, Silver Phoenix, Jade Phoenix, CaiFeng, and Cuifeng, could not lock their hearts, turned into five beautiful phoenixes, went to play in the human world, and when the Five Feng sisters came here, they were discovered by the gods and immediately reported to the Jade Emperor. Because the fairies were not allowed to go down to the heavens privately, the Jade Emperor ordered their five sisters to return to the Heavenly Palace immediately, and the Five Fengs resisted the order, and the Jade Emperor became angry and angry, and ordered the Heavenly Soldiers to force them to return to the Heavenly Court. The five sisters hugged each other and would rather die than return, and the Jade Emperor had to build a palace here, so that his five daughters could often enjoy the beauty of the world here.

  The soul of the five phoenixes lives at the head of the mountain, and because its father is the Jade Emperor, the local good men and women in order to remember these five sisters, they built a pavilion for them to shape the statue, taking the meaning of "five phoenixes", the name of the building is "five phoenix building". So far, there are five female statues of the Jade Emperor on the Wufeng Tower, blowing the flute and playing the violin.

Wufeng floor is 3 wide, 3 deep, flat square, two floors with four eaves and five drops of water on the top of the mountain, with a total height of 20 meters. Five-fold cornices, majestic, dazzling, colorful. The glass ridge beast on the roof of the building is intact, the dragon and phoenix, the character flowers, the image is vivid, the brilliance is dazzling, and it is actually a fine product in China's glass components.
