Franka Potente joins Tom Hardy and ridley Scott and Steven Knight's new fx/bbc show Taboo.
Set in 1814, Taboo tells the story of James keziah delaney (Tom Hardy), who has been "baptized" and completely transformed, returns to London from Africa long after everyone thinks he is dead, ready to inherit the "shipping empire" left by his father and start a new life, but this legacy is like a glass of poisonous wine for him, and many enemies hide in the dark in an attempt to take it from him and kill him. For this, james must struggle in a difficult situation to save his life.
Potant will play Helga, a business-minded woman who has a "history" with James. She recently starred in fx's episode "The Bridge," and we'll see her in the upcoming new film, The Conjuring 2.
