Editor's note: The working class is the main force in socialist construction. The workers stubbornly worked hard, pursued excellence, and devoted themselves to the cause of reform, opening up, and modernization with the spirit of ownership and high morale, creating shining achievements in ordinary posts, and also achieving a brilliant image of labor models and master craftsmen.

The power of example is infinite. In recent years, the Xiangtan Federation of Trade Unions has vigorously carried forward the spirit of labor models, labor spirit and craftsman spirit in the whole society, and encouraged workers to further radiate their enthusiasm for struggle, release their creative potential, and jointly build a beautiful Xiangtan. Xiangtan Daily and Xiangtan Online launched a column entitled "Be a Good Main Force and Build a Meritorious Exhibition Style", focusing on the typical craftsmen and labor models in the city, telling the stories of strivers, and showing the new era style of the main force of the working class.

"Master Craftsman" who grew up from a masonry

——Mao Le of Shaoshan Xintian Construction Co., Ltd

Xiangtan Online, August 19 (Xiangtan Daily All-media reporter Gu Orange) On the construction site of Shaoshan Xintian Construction Co., Ltd., there is a "mason" with a light posture, wearing military green overalls, and sharp hands and feet. Ask him who he is, and the workers there will tell you that he is the "master craftsman" Mao Le, a "master craftsman" who grew up from a masonry.

Mao Le was born in September 1985 to an ordinary peasant family in Zhuji Village, Shaoshan Township, Shaoshan City. After graduating from junior high school, at the age of 17, he became a construction site apprentice, starting from moving bricks and ash, and growing up step by step. Masonry work seems simple, but in fact it is not easy, when I first started learning, Mao Le caused the wall surface to be unclean, the thickness of the ash seam was uneven, and the fullness of the mortar could not meet the requirements. "The sword blade comes out of the grinding, and the plum blossom fragrance comes from the bitter cold", in order to better master this craft, Mao Le paid for the hardships that ordinary people can hardly imagine. Before the workers could start work, he arrived at the construction site early, and the workers all went home from work, and he was still practicing repeatedly.

"Master Craftsman" comes from hard work. Through a year of diligent training, in 2003, Mao Le became a qualified masonry worker, paying attention to the combination of hand touch, eye and brain in the work, usually will actively summarize practical experience, bricklaying, plastering and other operations can be completed with quality and quantity, all indicators can meet the requirements of acceptance specifications, and he has played a leading role in the company at a young age. Mao Le, who has grown in his skills, still loves to learn and study, he buys the relevant teaching materials of "masonry" at his own expense, uses his spare time to "recharge" himself, and often visits the "works" of his co-workers, whose "works" are better than him, he takes the initiative to discuss and communicate with them, and repeatedly ponders, researches, and simulates masonry on the construction site.

"Master craftsmanship" stems from dedication. Careful people will find that Mao Le's hands are covered with stucco and 10 fingers have wounds. In the face of this pair of rough hands, some people will ask, why not wear gloves, not afraid of injury? Mao Le always smiled and said plainly: "Wearing gloves will affect the feel and speed, if you are injured, change the other hand." Another time, Mao Le was working in the pouring rain, the rain flowed down his hair, his clothes became heavy, the corners of his eyes began to turn red, he suddenly felt exhausted, but in order to do a good job, he gritted his teeth and persevered.

"Master Craftsman" comes from the pursuit of excellence. In a masonry competition, participants are required to build a wall column with a length of 1865 mm, a width of 120 mm, a height of 1260 mm and a thickness of 120 mm within the specified time, and the wall is embedded in a clear water brick wall structure with the Chinese character "craftsman" pattern, requiring the Chinese character "craftsman" to protrude 20 mm on the wall, clean the cracks by 6 mm, and clean it. Mao Le's works have clean walls, uniform lines, prominent fonts, and unanimous praise from judges, and finally won the championship with high scores.

The "Master Craftsman" is also expressed in his incomparable love for his career. No one expected that the 17-year-old Mao Leneng could take root in the construction site for more than ten years, two construction sites a year, and so far more than 30 construction sites. Most people think that the craftsman is just a kind of mechanical repetitive worker, but Mao Le often said, "Now there are fewer and fewer young people learning to build, and I want to continue to do this job, hoping to pass on this craft." ”

In the position of ordinary masonry, Mao Le worked hard regardless of fame and fortune, and time gave him the best gift - in August 2016, under the unified organization of Shaoshan Municipal Housing and Construction Bureau and Quality Supervision Station, Mao Le represented Shaoshan Xintian Construction to participate in the Shaoshan "Liancheng Craftsman Master" masonry competition and won the first place in Shaoshan City. In September, he represented Shaoshan City to participate in the Xiangtan "Liancheng Craftsman Master" Masonry Competition, won the first place in Xiangtan City, and was awarded the "Masonry Grade II" qualification certificate by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China, and won the honorary titles of "Liancheng Craftsman Master" and "Xiangtan May 1st Pioneer". In August 2018, he represented Shaoshan City in the Xiangtan "Master Craftsman" Masonry Competition and won the second place in Xiangtan City. In September, he represented Xiangtan City in the 2018 Hunan Provincial Skills Competition and won the first place, and was named the "Master Craftsman" of Hunan Province. In the same month, on behalf of Hunan Province, he participated in the 2018 China Skills Competition - the 6th National Vocational Skills Competition for Employees, jointly sponsored by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and won the 7th place in the national masonry competition.

As a masonry worker, Mao Le used his own actions to interpret the "craftsman spirit" of the new era.
