During Zhang Kundi's journey to France to study for work-study, zhang Kundi, the pioneer of the labor movement, initiated the organization of the "Engineering Promotion Association" and the "Engineering World Society" to publicize Marxism and the beginning of the October Revolution in Russia, and was later expelled back to China by the revolutionary party with the title of "no money and no education". In Shanghai, Zhang Kundi met with Chen Duxiu and then went north, joined the Communist Party of China under the introduction of Li Dazhao, and joined the early Chinese workers' movement. Dispatched by Li Dazhao, he went to the Zhengtai Railway as a special commissioner of the Cpc and lit the first fire of the Zhengtai Road workers' movement in Shijiazhuang.
The play reflects in the form of art the historical fact that Zhang Kundi participated in leading the northern workers' movement, organizing the Zhengtai Railway Workers' Strike and achieving the final victory. "In the process of constantly familiarizing myself with the script, I really understood the outstanding contributions made by Zhang Kundi, a pioneer of the labor movement, who had the world in mind and made to win the victory of the revolution. I hope that through this red theme script, the people of the whole country and even the whole world will understand the greatness of our Communist Party of China, and I hope that this spirit can be passed on forever. From 1921 to 2021, exactly 100 years have passed. What can be comforted to the martyrs is that the general machine factory that the martyrs led the Zhengtai Road workers' strike in the past has now developed and grown into a CRRC Group reorganized by CSR and CNR, which has complete intellectual property rights in locomotive production technology and has become the world's leading railway locomotive and rolling stock industry. The high-speed rail produced by CRRC has long been exported and driven to the European continent including France, where the martyrs learned fitters, and CRRC has not only shown China's style but also benefited the people of the world. It is reported that "Zhengtai Storm" of "Labor Movement Pioneer Zhang Kundi" will be publicly performed in Taojiang in the near future. Zhang Kundi, born in March 1894, is a native of Taojiang County. In April 1918, he and Mao Zedong, Cai Hesen and others initiated the establishment of the Xinmin Society in Changsha. In September 1919, Zhang Kundi crossed the ocean to France to work and study. In the spring of 1922, Zhang Kundi was introduced by Li Dazhao to join the Communist Party of China. Under the direct leadership of Li Dazhao, he participated in the early Workers' Movement in China, and as a commissioner of the Communist Party of China, lit the first fire of the Zhengtai Road Workers' Movement in Shijiazhuang and led the Zhengtai Railway Workers' Strike to victory. Later, he moved to Shandong, Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai, and participated in the organization of the Shanghai workers' strike. In June 1928, he went to Moscow to attend the Sixth National Congress of the Communist Party of China. In 1931, he went to the Western Soviet District of Xiang'e as a special commissioner of the Central Workers' Movement of the Communist Party of China. In the autumn of 1932, Zhang Kundi died in Honghu Lake, Hubei Province, at the age of 38. After the founding of New China, he was posthumously recognized as a revolutionary martyr.
