Red Net Moment Yiyang, February 18 (Correspondent Li Chenggang) On the morning of February 18, Taojiang County held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Zhang Kundi Square and Exhibition Hall project.
With a total investment of 20 million yuan, Zhang Kundi Square and Exhibition Hall project is one of the first batch of key projects in Taojiang County to start construction in 2021, mainly building cultural squares, exhibition halls, monuments, red cultural corridors and tourism public supporting service facilities, and creating tourist attractions with red cultural characteristics that integrate patriotic education, research tourism and cultural publicity.

Zhang Kundi, known as Zhipu, was an outstanding early workers' movement activist, born in 1894 in Taojiang Banxi (now Longtangwan Village, Cormorant Du Town), was admitted to the Hunan Provincial First Normal School in 1913, during which he befriended his classmate Cai Hesen and Mao Zedong who studied in the eighth class, and was known as the "Three Jies of Yuelu" by his classmates; in 1918, he created a new people's society with Mao Zedong, Cai Hesen and others; he joined the Communist Party of China in 1922, and then joined the party-led workers' movement, and was a senior leader of the workers' movement in the party In 1932, he was persecuted by Wang Ming's "left" line and was killed in Zhai Jiawan, Honghu Lake.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the Zhang Kundi Square and Exhibition Hall project was officially started, which not only demonstrated taojiang county's determination to inherit the red gene and vigorously develop red tourism, but also one of the important measures for Taojiang to present a gift for the centenary birthday of the Communist Party of China.
