Poor Emperor Hui of Han, Liu Ying, wished that he would never be born again in the imperial family

Author: Our special guest author Qian Qiuyuan

In 195 BC, Liu Bang, the ancestor of a generation of Thick Black Scholars, swallowed his last breath in the world and drove the crane to the west, and Liu Ying, who was only 15 years old, ascended the throne as emperor, and he was Emperor Xiaohui of Han.

Putting on the dragon robe and holding the power of the world is the pursuit that many men dream of, but for Liu Ying, it is the beginning of his nightmare. And perhaps, his nightmare had already begun.

1. Children who have been kicked out of the carriage

Because as early as the age of 5, he was kicked off the carriage by his father.

It was the Battle of Pengcheng in 205 BC, a battle in which Liu Bang's 600,000 miscellaneous princes were beaten to the ground by Xiang Yu's 30,000 elite cavalry. Under the protection of xiahou bao, the god of che, Liu Bang fled in a hurry.

On the way to escape, Liu Bang met one of his sons and daughters: Liu Ying and Princess Lu Yuan.

However, seeing that the Chu army was chasing tightly and urgently, Liu Bang's old rogue nature was suddenly exposed: he kicked Liu Ying and Princess Lu Yuan down: Your two children's weight is too large, go down and reduce my burden. However, the car god Xiahou Baby quickly got out of the car and hugged the two children back: the car ran slowly, and it had little to do with the weight of the two children.

However, people were short-witted, and whenever the Chu army approached, Liu Bang kicked the two children out of the car, and every time he kicked, Xiahou Bao hugged him back. It is said that the drama of "Liu Lao's hooligan kicking, Xiahou Che Shen hugging" has been played back and forth more than ten times along the way.

Perhaps thanks to Xiahou Nian's driving skills, or perhaps Liu Bangfu's great life, this embarrassing journey finally ended in a "victorious escape".

However, in the harsh environment of soldiers and horses, he was kicked off the carriage by his own father ten times along the way, and in Liu Ying's young heart, he was already covered with a thick shadow that lingered.

Second, the authoritarian mother

Meeting a brutal father is already a person's misfortune. What is even more unfortunate is that he has encountered an authoritarian mother, Lu Yan.

The story of Empress Lü is familiar to almost all of us: when she was a teenager, she married Liu Bang, an old bachelor, and gave birth to a son and a daughter, Liu Ying and Princess Lu Yuan; when she was in her 30s, she started a business with her husband, was displaced, and was tied up several times; her husband Liu Bang was successful in starting a business, IPO listing, there were many Xiaomi around him, and Lü Yan competed for favors; assisted Liu Bang in killing heroes; after her husband kicked his legs, he ruled the world for more than ten years.

From the once ignorant girl, step by step to the peak of power, she has become a being worshiped by thousands of people. Lu Yan's life is not easy, experiencing a difficult entrepreneurial period of more than ten years, being tied up several times, and being abandoned by her husband "ruthlessly" several times, making her understand how everything in her hands is not easy to come by. And this makes her cling to everything she has in her hands: her husband, her status, and most importantly, her son.

Because Lü Yan understood that in the patriarchal society where "husbands die from sons", the source of his authority is his only son, Liu Ying. Saving Liu Ying is equivalent to saving his future.

Liu Ying is lucky to meet such a mother with rich life experience - he does not have to bother with his throne, because he has a mother with a heart; but at the same time, he is also unfortunate - his mother's desire to control is too explosive!

Third, the nightmare comes

Lü Yan's control over Liu Ying first began with personality. For Liu Ying, who is peaceful in nature, Lü Yan decided to release the devil he had buried for a long time.

She aimed her butcher knife at the Xiaomis who had threatened her position, and after taking power, Lü Yan began to settle accounts after the autumn - she first targeted Lady Qi, who was "sweet and beautiful with soft waists" and her son Liu Ruyi, the King of Zhao.

Liu Ruyi, the King of Zhao, was Liu Bang's favorite child, not only because his mother's relative's wife was favored, but also because Liu Bang believed that Liu Ruyi was more like himself, and even wanted to abolish Liu Ying and establish Liu Ruyi instead.

To this end, Lü Yan hated Liu Ruyi's mother and son into the bone marrow. However, Liu Ying was very friendly to her brother Liu Ruyi, "sleeping in the same bed, going out in the same car", once made Lü Yan want to kill Liu Ruyi, but he could not do it. Perhaps in the depths of Liu Ying's heart, this brother he maintains is the only family affection he can grasp.

But unfortunately, the meticulous care of Liu Ruyi was still sparse: in December 195 BC, while Liu Ying was traveling outside to hunt, Lü Lu killed Liu Ruyi.

For the death of her brother, Liu Ying's sorrow could not be suppressed. But this was only the beginning of the nightmare, and soon he would see the climax of the nightmare: soon after Liu Ruyi's death, Lü Yan cut off Lady Qi's hands and feet, deafened her ears, gouge out her eyes, and poisoned her with dumb drugs, threw her into the toilet, and made a terrifying "human hand"!

In order to strengthen or stimulate his son's mind, Lü Yan "enthusiastically" invited Emperor Liu Ying to watch his "masterpiece". Seeing such a horrific and tragic scene, if it was Liu Bang who was accustomed to seeing the corpse mountain and the sea of blood, or other people with stoic hearts, at most it would just fall into a shadow, but for a child like Liu Ying, who was pure in nature, he not only did not strengthen his personality, but was seriously frightened.

After a thousand years, we can no longer guess Lü Yan's true intentions, but the result is that Emperor Liu Ying has been even more depressed since then. We believe for the time being that Lu Yan loves Liu Ying, but she obviously used the wrong medicine!

Fourth, unhappy marriages

Lü Yan's desire to control lies in his control over Liu Ying's marriage. The daughter-in-law that Lü Yan found for Liu Ying was zhang yan, and she was the daughter of Princess Lu Yuan. The 18-year-old uncle married an 11-year-old niece, in other words, incest.

This kind of marriage that violates human morality cannot be accepted by ordinary people, let alone Liu Ying. There are even rumors that Empress Zhang is still complete until her death. And it was such a sexless marriage that led to Liu Ying's final tragedy.

Seeing that Liu Ying and his wife were not harmonious, Lü Yan was unwilling to admit the failure of his manipulation of marriage: although Empress Zhang had no heirs, but other concubines had, so if so, then transfer flowers and trees - let Empress Zhang pretend to be pregnant, and poison the concubine who had just given birth to Liu Gong. In this way, Liu Gong became Empress Zhang's "own son".

What a "smart and perfect" design!

Fifth, the descendants are destroyed

In 188 BC, Liu Ying, the Emperor hui of Han, died at the age of 22. But his death is not the end of everything.

After Liu Ying's death, Liu Gong, who was only 4 years old, succeeded to the throne, known in history as the Young Emperor of the Han Dynasty, this little emperor was not old, but he was a small ghost, and he clearly knew his own lineage, but after all, he was only a child, his mouth was unguarded, and he actually threatened to avenge his birth mother when he grew up. As a result, this clever but not yet intolerable little emperor was soon deposed and assassinated.

Liu Gong was followed by another son of Emperor Hui of Han, Liu Hong, who was also the Young Emperor of Han. This little emperor Liu Hong, neither whimsical nor gibberish, seemed to have a better fate for him. But bad luck still came: in 180 BC, Lü Yan, who had been in charge of the world for many years, died, and the Lü power group she had worked so hard to establish also fell apart overnight, and the old Lü family disappeared. However, Zhou Bo and Chen Pingren, who pacified the Lü clan, thought that Liu Hong was a hidden danger, after all, this child was supported by the Lü clan and was an uncontrollable hidden bomb.

Therefore, poor Liu Hong, his fate was also decided by a group of "heroes" - to give death. Not only him, but also several of his brothers, Liu Tai the Prince of Jichuan, Liu Wu the Prince of Huaiyang, and Liu Chao the Prince of Changshan, were also killed.

The apparent reason why these Children of the Liu family were executed was that none of them were the biological sons of Liu Ying, the Emperor of Han Hui, and Liu Ying could not have children! So his six sons were all the result of court fornication!

But in fact, these so-called "heroes" just want to support an emperor with better control: any prince of the side branch who is supported to the throne will be grateful to these heroes, and this is more affordable than the descendants of Emperor Hui!

Zhou Bo and Chen Ping are all well-known ministers of the Western Han Dynasty, but this political method of sacrificing innocent children is really disgraceful.

At this point, the survival of Emperor Hui of Han in the human world has completely dissipated.

6. May there be no rebirth in the imperial family

When we look at the life of Emperor Hui of Han, it is undoubtedly pitiful and deplorable. It seems that he floats around the world and has everything. But it seems that he has nothing: no fatherly love, no maternal love, neither brothers nor subordinates, and after his death, even his own son. In this life, he has brought nothing, and left nothing, only in the long river of history, leaving a shallow, sad back.

People say that "a chaotic world cannot tolerate naivety", but Emperor Huidi of Han, who was born in peacetime, was also unable to have a true self. Perhaps, his tragedy lies in his birth in the royal family. Perhaps, the truest idea of Emperor Hui of Han was: May he never be born again in the imperial family!
