author:Willow trees under the bridge

Zeng Shan, a famous thinker and coward in the late Spring and Autumn period of the Lu Kingdom, was one of the seventy-two sages among Confucius's protégés. He was erudite and talented, and attached great importance to self-cultivation and noble morals. Once, his wife was going to the market to run an errand, and the young children were clamoring to go. Zeng's wife did not want to take the child with her, so she said to him: "You are at home and have fun, wait for your mother to come back, and kill the pigs in the family and cook meat for you to eat." The child listened, was very happy, and stopped arguing about going to the market. This was meant to coax the child to talk and play, but after that, Zeng's wife forgot. Unexpectedly, Zeng Shan actually killed a pig in the family. When the wife saw that Zeng Hadsan had killed the pig, she said, "I wanted the child to wait at home with peace of mind, and only then did I say that when the market came back, I would kill the pig and give him roast meat to eat. Zeng Said: "Children cannot be deceived." Children are young and do not understand the world, so they have to learn from others, especially their parents as role models for life. Today you deceive the child and defile his soul, tomorrow the child will deceive you and deceive others; Today you have no faith in front of your children, tomorrow your children will no longer trust you, you see how harmful this is. ”
