Qinghai News Network News The red-necked plover, a common forest bird in northwestern cities, is also a bird that I photographed in a pertinent pose, allowing me to take pictures.
As long as I have spare time, I will leave early and return late, to Haitang Park, Nanshan Park, Xishan Forest Farm, Huangshui Wetland to look for birds and shoot birds. Xining Nanshan, a paradise for birds, my treasure land for birds. There are no less than thirty kinds of birds here, and I have seen and photographed more than ten kinds of birds such as spiny wood finches, daiju, canary, woodpeckers, tin-billed finches, large, spotted doves, Burrows, Peacebirds, red-necked birds and so on.
Here I have to say that although the magpie is an auspicious bird, for the bird shooter, this guy is very out of phase, and very few people shoot it. First, the bird that shoots has the eye light is the best product. The head and neck of the magpie are black or dark blue-gray, and it is difficult to see the eyes in both smooth and backlit light. Second, the magpie's territorial awareness is very strong. In its acre and three points, this guy is a complete "goon" - wherever the bird shooter goes, it follows there and issues a warning sound; you find a bird that is waiting to be "fired", the magpie inserts a bar, stirs it up, and the birds are scattered; other birds are singing and foraging, and the magpies are also unhappy, and they have to expel people. The magpie's survival philosophy is "I'm here, this place is mine!" Even "martial arts masters" such as the kestrel (harrier) are too lazy to fight if they encounter magpies, and choose to retreat. Imagine how helpless it would be for other birds to have neighbors like magpies.
The red-necked grebe, with its rapid flight speed and the creed of "equal interests", maneuvered with the magpie and was given the right to a piece of the pie.
The intelligence of birds cannot be underestimated. To photograph birds well, it is necessary to understand birds and master their habits. At first, in order to capture vivid pictures, I waited for more than an hour in a secret place in the Nanshan forest, and saw a red-necked bird landing on the tree, fifteen or sixteen meters away from me. I pretended not to see it, bent down and quietly moved forward for four or five meters and then crouched down; it watched the movement alertly, and later, it began to sing; I turned to it sideways, waited for four or five minutes, and then slowly moved forward three meters, peeking, and it began to let down its guard, picking the fruit on its paws to prepare for the meal. After about five minutes, I slowly moved three meters again, thinking that this distance can capture a clear image, so I quietly raised the camera, held my breath, and shot at high speed... Looking down at the photo- the bird twisted its neck and pecked at a small fruit with lightning speed, but the fruit slipped down; the bird gagged the fruit at a speed of one hundredth of a second, and was waiting to enter the throat, and the fruit fell again; the bird immediately opened its beak, and the probe took the dangling fruit steadily stuck in the mouth and throat...
As a "volunteer mountain patrol" in Nanshan and a "patrol" in other woodlands, I became acquainted with the red-necked plover. The red-necked plovers in these places remembered my figure and breath, saw me take pictures, and no longer shyly answered and dodged.
In xishan botanical garden, begonia park and other places, some red-necked plovers (gray-necked plovers) even when they are less than five meters away from me, willing to pose and show their naughty, vivid life scenes - a red-necked plover pecks a red fruit on the grass, does not rush to eat, first bites in the mouth and then throws it on the head, catches it in the air; so repeated several times, and then swallows it triumphantly; what a harmonious and natural and pleasant scene.
