Before Zhou Deshan, cross-talk was a livelihood for selling art on the ground, and it was he who brought cross-talk into the theater in Tianjin, opening up a milestone in the history of Chinese cross-talk. Representative works include "Eight Fan Screen" and "Round Lie".
Zhou Deshan's greatest contribution to cross-talk is to cultivate a group of famous cross-talk artists such as Ma Sanli. Ma Sanli (October 1, 1914 – February 11, 2003), the son of Ma Delu, one of the Eight Virtues of Xiangsheng, after graduating from junior high school, due to his poor family situation, dropped out of school at the age of 12 to learn art with his father, and then worshiped Zhou Deshan as a teacher, excelled at "Guankou" and Wen du zi, and founded the unique "Ma Xiangsheng". Ma Sanli had many apprentices, and most of them were like thunderbolts, such as Yan Xiaoru, Zhang Xiaoqin, Zhang Xiaofei, Jin Xiaotian, Ban Degui, Chang Baohua, Yin Xiaoxiao, Yu Baolin, Chang Baofeng and so on.
Ma Sanli is very heavy Bandegui. Ban Degui (1920-1997), who studied under Zhang Jieyao, a cross-talk senior, went to Tianjin at the age of 18 to perform. In order to learn more advanced skills, he also worshiped Ma Sanli as a teacher, and took the stage name Ban Xiaokui. Representative works include "Counting Treasures", "Lantern Riddles", "Big Face", "Empty City Plan" and so on.
Ban Degui's disciples include Fan Zhenyu, Xia Zhiheng, Geng Wenqing and so on. Fan Zhenyu (1927 – November 17, 2008), who took Bandegui as his teacher in 1950, became a disciple of Ma Sanli. In 1979, he was transferred to the ACFTU Cultural and Labor Corps together with Gao Yingpei. Representative works include "Fishing", "White Affairs Society", "Miscellaneous Singing" and so on. There were also more than a dozen of his disciples, such as Zhao Jinsheng, Tengshengxiang, Peng Hua, Yu Zhiyuan, Ma Tengxiang, Zhang Deqi, Gao Feng, and so on.
The teacher of Gaofeng Xiangshengmen is Mr. Fan Zhenyu, a famous cross-talk artist, although he was born in 1983 and only 35 years old, he is diligent and studious, and he has his own unique artistic style. Later, together with Guo Degang and Yu Qian, he visited Mr. Jin Wensheng in Xihemen.
Therefore, don't look at Gao Feng is a post-80s, 14 years younger than Yu Qian and 10 years younger than Guo Degang, but they are the same generation as Xihemen. However, even if they are cross-talk doors, they are also peers. Guo Degang's division is: Jiao Shouhai - Zhao Peiru - Hou Yaowen - Guo Degang, and Gao Feng's division is: Ma Sanli - Bandegui - Fan Zhenyu - Gao Feng. Since Jiao Shouhai and Ma Sanli are both Shouzi generations, Guo Degang and Gao Feng are peers, Yu Qian's master is Shi Fukuan, and Hou Yaowen is the same generation as Shi Fukuan, so no matter what, they are all of the same generation.
Today's peak has also begun to accept its own disciples, and there are currently five, typographed "Hao", namely: Lang Haochen, Miao Haoyu, Song Haoran, Wang Haoyue, and Li Haoyang.
