On the morning of October 19th, the opening ceremony of the second stop of the national tour exhibition "Pioneer of China's Early Modernization - Zhang Xiao" was held at the Museum of Fudan University (Cai Guanshen Humanities Museum). This is not only the first exhibition of Zhang Xiao's special exhibition at Fudan University, but also the first exhibition in Shanghai and in the university museum.

At the opening ceremony, Xu Ning, deputy director of Nantong Museum, expressed his gratitude for the support and help given by Fudan University during the exhibition. When talking about the reasons why the national tour exhibition "The Pioneer of China's Early Modernization - Zhang Xiao" made Fudan University the first stop of the university tour exhibition, Xu Ning introduced the more than 40 years of exchanges between Zhang Xiao and President Ma Xiangbo. He said that he hoped that with the help of this exhibition, the interaction and exchanges between Shanghai and Shanghai in the field of culture and tourism would be strengthened, and the friendship between the two old gentlemen would be continued.
Lu Jiansong, director of the Department of Cultural Relics and Museology of Fudan University, pointed out in his speech that the exhibition has three important significances in Fudan. First of all, as "a model of patriotic entrepreneurs, a model of national entrepreneurs, and a pioneer of private entrepreneurs," Zhang Xiao's important deeds of working hard to rejuvenate the country, getting up and doing things, helping the masses, and benefiting the villagers are an important carrier for Fudan teachers and students to carry out the "four histories" study education and patriotic education. Secondly, holding the exhibition also enables Fudan teachers and students to better study the history of Fudan School, so that teachers and students can not forget the original intention of Zhang Xiao, Ma Xiangbo and other predecessors when they founded the school. Finally, he stressed that as the earliest museologist in China, some of the concepts put forward by Zhang Xiao when preparing for the construction and operation of the Nantong Museum are still of great significance to the discipline construction and museum operation of the Department of Literature and Museum today.
The exhibition is divided into four units, namely "Blue Wisps of Yanlu Road, To Enlighten the Mountains and Forests", "Industry Saves the Country, Dare to Be the First", "Running the Township, Zehui Future Generations", "Spiritual Immortality, Monument Forever Cast". Through the exhibition of a large number of precious historical relics and pictures related to Zhang Xiao, a series of industrial, educational, medical, charity and public welfare undertakings established by Zhang Xiao with the Dasheng Group as the core, as well as the great achievements of building "Nantong, the first city in modern China", not only reflected Zhang Xiao's important deeds of "a model of patriotic entrepreneurs, a model of national entrepreneurs, and a pioneer of private entrepreneurs" at that time, and did good work to rejuvenate the country, get up and act, help the masses, and benefit the villagers, but also explained Zhang Xiao's "patriotic feelings" and "open-mindedness" "Innovative spirit", "integrity character" and "social responsibility" of entrepreneurship.

In 1905, Fudan University and Nantong Museum were born in the same year. Fudan University, the predecessor of Fudan University, is a private higher education school founded by Ma Xiangbo, Zhang Xiao and others. Mr. Ma Xiangbo led the students to break away from Aurora and after several twists and turns, established Fudan Public School, during which he received help from many celebrities. Among them, Zhang Xiao has played a great role in promoting the preparation, restructuring, foundation laying and management of Fudan Public School. At the beginning of the school, he promised to serve as a director, raised 10,000 yuan at a critical moment, and jointly planned the development of Fudan with Ma Xiangbo to educate and save the country.
The exhibits on display this time are mainly the historical relics related to Zhang Jian collected by the Nantong Museum, among which the collections such as "Zhang Jian Kai Shu Commemorative Primary School", "Zhang Jian Xing Kai Four Hours Of Reading and Music Four Screens", "Xi Weng's Instructions to Compile the Catalogue of Industrial Education Landscapes", "Nantong Baochu Association's Letter of Appointment to Tellke", "Nantong Dasheng First Textile Company Staff Badge", "Dasheng System Seal" and other collections were exhibited to the public for the first time. Historical materials and cultural relics related to Zhang Xiao's help in organizing Fudan Public School are also exhibited in this exhibition.
The second stop of "The Pioneer of China's Early Modernization - Zhang Xiao" National Tour Exhibition - Fudan University Station, sponsored by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Jiangsu Province and the Cultural Relics Bureau of Jiangsu Province, co-organized by the Nantong Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, Nantong Museum and Fudan University Museum, was exhibited at the Fudan University Museum from October 12 to November 10, 2021.
