Dongmen Island Scenic Area of Dongshan Island, Fujian Province, one of the four famous islands in China. The natural scenery is beautiful, and there are many cultural landscapes, just like the "Sea Immortal Mountain", together with Xiamen Gulangyu Island, Wenzhou Jiangxinol, taiwan Lanyu Island and called China's four famous islands. Dongmen Island, also known as Tayu Island, covers an area of nearly 1 square kilometer and is an island similar to the shape of "soil". It is located outside the sea outside the east gate of Tongshan Ancient City on Dongshan Island, and is famous for its strange reefs, mellow caves and many historical sites, and is listed as one of the top ten scenic spots in Fujian Province.

Dongmen Island is known as the Immortal Mountain of the Sea. It is located in the sea two kilometers away from the east gate of Tongshan Ancient City, so it is called Dongmen Island, and because there is Wenfeng Pagoda on the island, it is also known as Tayu Island. With an area of nearly 1 square kilometer, Dongmen Island is an island with an approximate "earth" shape. The highest point is Wenfeng Peak, 91.3 meters above sea level. The reason why Dongmen Island is called the Sea Fairy Mountain is because it brings together the beauty of natural scenery and cultural landscapes Dongmen Island is located in Dongshan County (Island).
To go to Dongmen Island, you have to take a ferry at the cruise ship terminal, the fare is 30 per person, and the locals have heard that there are discounts. It takes about 15 minutes by boat from Higashiyama Island. On the day we went, the wind and waves were relatively large, so the boat docked more difficult. But overall, security is not a problem.
After the boat docked, on the left-hand side of the island is a 500-meter-long sandy beach, which is clean and basically free of pollutants floating on it. The sand is relatively thick sand, and it is still very pleasant to walk on the beach when you are tired.
Dongmen Island is an island, the height of the entire mountain is less than 100 meters, to see more beautiful scenery or climb to the top of the mountain.
Halfway up the mountain, you can see this group of large stones, and the middle of this protrusion is called the "Root of Life". Haha, slightly interesting.
The slowest 10 minutes to climb to the highest point of the island, the main peak of Dongmen Island is like a huge bonsai. Rocky peaks, strange rocks, towering over the east of the port of Dongshan, a frank water, a sudden peak, reflecting each other. Follow the tree-covered stone path up the stairs and climb the main peak of Tayu Island at an altitude of 91 meters above sea level to see Wenfeng Pagoda. The tower is an octagonal eaves solid building with a total of seven floors, made of granite, and was built by Cai Chao of Fujian Patrol Road in the 5th year of Ming Jiajing (1526). The tower is 31.7 meters high, with a seat circumference of 14 meters, and from the second floor there is a relief on all eight sides, and the top of the tower is made of two gourd-shaped stones. The tower is well preserved, is an important symbol of navigation in the sea, and is one of the scenic spots of Dongshan Mountain, called "Dongyu Wenfeng". For 470 years, it has experienced countless strong typhoons and earthquakes, but it is still safe and sound, standing tenaciously on the island.
There is an observation deck directly in front of Wenfeng Pagoda, in front of which is an endless view, and in the far distance of the front is the treasure island of Taiwan. I also saw a rare 'mirage' holy scene.
At the bottom left of the observation deck, there is a spot along the sea called Fisherman Fishing.
Further ahead is an observation deck on a boulder.
When you stand on a boulder, you can see the vast sea, the water and sky, the sail pieces, the Su Peak is very beautiful, the white clouds are around the rope, the green forest sea, and the interplay is intertwined.
The mountain road around the island is full of scenery.
In the northern section of Dongmen Island is the Dongming Temple, the temple was built in the Song Dynasty, is the lowest altitude temple in the country, only more than 60 centimeters above sea level, almost the same as the sea level. The main hall, the "Ten Thousand Buddhas Treasure Hall", is built by 10,000 glass Buddhas. Add a beautiful scenery to the "Sea Immortal Mountain", which is the so-called "Pagoda Island has a treasure brake, and the moon on the sea is brighter". Go here to take a small fishing boat past, I heard that this boat is also approved by the government, safety should not be a question, the distance is about 500 meters.
On the north side of Dongmen Island is a two-crescent-shaped beach, both of which are relatively large. Those who love the beach can stay here all day.
On the north side of the road down the mountain, you can see very similar stone carvings.
It is a boulder shaped like an eagle, several feet high. If someone says that the beauty of man lies in the eyes, the fierceness of the tiger lies in the mouth, and the power of the lion lies in the nose, then the eagle is in the beak. The most similar place of the eagle's beak rock is exactly here, but see the beak, shaped like an iron hook, curved and sharp, facing the sea, and even more like spreading its wings and taking off. This rock sits on the mountain facing the sea, as if it has found its prey in the sea, and is about to flapp its wings and fly forward.
This is the place where the most famous people on Dongshan Island read in their childhood.
It is worth reminding that there is no accommodation at night on Dongmen Island, and there are no basic living facilities such as supermarkets. Therefore, before going to the island, be sure to ask what time the last boat will return to Higashiyama Main Island, otherwise it will be more troublesome to miss the boat point.
