"On the one hand, the selection of 'future literary artists' should synchronize with the times, promote the in-depth development of creative writing education, introduce high-quality literary resources into the scene of literary education, and provide young students with the vision and model of writing." On the other hand, it promotes the development of domestic youth literary creation, taking the award as the guide, and showing the judgment and voice of the academy to the literary world. ”

"Don't give up writing"

"'Family Experiment' was the result of my first ten years of writing fiction. I was surprised that it won an award. In his acceptance speech, Zhang Yiwei lamented that if there is no literary writing, he should be a very ordinary person, ordinary family, ordinary IQ, and ordinary work, "It is literature that gives me the opportunity to record the people, streets, communities I have seen, and the life I have seen, sad and sad." By writing stories, I actually gave my originally bleak life a little more shining light. ”

The diving squid says that as a creator of online novels, he has always positioned himself as a "storyteller." From writing impulsively at the beginning to knowing how to lay the groundwork and restraint, and then from learning to improve the story structure to trying to convey my own ideas and opinions, "I always hope to strive for excellence and do better." There is no end to the road, but I want to go further and see more scenery. ”

The name of the "Future Writers" award reminds Zhang Yiwei of the 2017 Harvard University edition of The New History of Modern Chinese Literature, a new literary history that began in 1635 and ended in 2066. It tries to solve the dilemma of time in the writing of modern and contemporary literary history, that is, thirty years of modern literature, even if the time is pulled to the late Qing Dynasty "The Tale of the Flowers on the Sea", it still cannot solve the problem that the history of contemporary literature is getting longer and longer, and every day is expanding, running to the sky for a long time. "Professor Wang Dewei proposed a plan to start modern literature in the late Ming Dynasty and run to the virtual scene of Han Song's science fiction novel "Journey to the West in 2066", that is, when we write literary history, literary history already includes the 'future'."

"The future is the present, and the future can even be a reality that goes back in the farther future." The future writer', is it also a riddle similar to time, in the name of the future, to give me, such an old-fashioned person who does not write about the virtual world created by supercomputers, a little bit like salvaging unearthed artifacts. "Zhang Yiwei said, so we have to write a little more, so that we can have enough material world corpus to communicate with future people." I am a writer", which means "the past tense", means "the rich and complex spiritual life of the past", and means the love, hope and civilization that human beings have collectively recorded.

Like Huang Ping and Xiang Jing, Zhang Yiwei is also a writing teacher. "I remembered that we had a student who, after graduation, cut off contact with all my classmates. Last year I heard that she had finally found herself with her children and was a single mother. We don't even know what she went through, but we can imagine her toil. Professor Wang Anyi heard about this incident, and she asked us to find a way to convey it to her, 'Don't give up writing'. I couldn't contact her directly, but I was shocked to see that text message. If she will see it recently, then I would like to tell her that Teacher Wang once said to her. In fact, it is also said to us. 'Don't give up writing'. ”

A new development of "campus literature"

Li Er, deputy director of the Museum of Modern Chinese Literature and a famous writer, also came to the award ceremony. The department of Chinese of East China Normal University has a long tradition of "writers' groups", which not only has emerged the "group of writers of East China Normal University" represented by famous writers such as Dai Houying, Wang Xiaoyu, Zhao Lihong, Wang Xiaoying, Sun Yong, Chen Danyan, Song Lin, Ge Fei, Li Er, and Mao Jian, and the phenomenon of "new generation writers of East China Normal University" formed by Xu Jia, Su De, Lin Yao, Liu Tao, Ge Shengjie, Xiao Di, and so on.

Gu Hongliang, vice president of East China Normal University, said that over the past 70 years, the Chinese discipline of East China Normal University has been committed to the parallel development of academic research and literary creation, and has cultivated generations of outstanding writers, such as Yougefei and Li Er of the Department of Chinese have won the Mao Dun Literature Award, which is relatively unique in domestic universities.

In 2018, the Department of Chinese of East China Normal University issued a call for "East China Normal University Writers Group 'Start Again'", and since then the China Creative Writing Research Institute has been established. Wen Guiliang, president of the China Academy of Creative Writing, told the surging news reporter that "campus literature" with teachers and students as the main body of creation has experienced several brilliant eras in the history of modern literature: the "May Fourth" period, the Kunming Southwest United University period, and the 1980s. In the 1980s, the head of the Department of Chinese at East China Normal University was Mr. Xu Zhongyu, who encouraged students to create, saying that literary works could replace undergraduate graduation theses. Therefore, in the 1980s, the "campus literature" of East China Normal University was avant-garde in the country. ”

"In recent years, 'campus literature' has developed again. Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University, Fudan University, Chinese University and other universities have opened up their own writing teaching positions, and we also established the China Creative Writing Research Institute three years ago, inviting Teacher Sun Ganlu to sit in the town. We hope that the 'campus literature' with teachers and students as the main body of creation will be rekindled in East China Normal University. ”
