"Qiu Fengjia and Shantou" was first released on national day

The book "Qiu Fengjia and Shantou", jointly compiled by the Propaganda Department of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Federation of Literature and Literature, was officially published and distributed recently, and on October 1, the launch ceremony of the new book "Qiu Fengjia and Shantou" jointly sponsored by the Propaganda Department of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Federation of Literature and Literature was held in the TongwenTang.

"Qiu Fengjia and Shantou" was first released on national day

Qiu Fengjia, born in December 1864, was a patriotic poet and famous educator in the late Qing Dynasty, as well as an anti-Japanese taiwanist. After the Sino-Japanese War, he opposed the Cession of Taiwan by the Qing court and led his troops to resist the Japanese army. After the failure to defend Taiwan, he left Taiwan and crossed the border between Chaoshan and Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macao, and Nanyang, and began to run new schools and enlighten the people's wisdom. In 1901, Qiu Fengjia presided over the new school "Lingdong Tong Literature Hall" in Shantou, creating a pioneer in modern Chaoshan and cultivating a large number of talents. Qiu Fengjia is famous for his poetry, and has created a large number of poems, the content of which is either heroic or desolate and sad, reflecting his infinite attachment to Taiwan and his good wishes for the restoration of Kyushu from different aspects, sincere and heartfelt, fully embodying the poet's extremely high artistic level and the fiery love of the motherland and the desire for the reunification of the motherland, full of heroic ambition.

In order to remember the heroic feats and patriotic spirit, and to widely disseminate the heroic deeds, the Propaganda Department of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Federation of Literature and Literature jointly compiled and published "Qiu Fengjia and Shantou".

According to reports, the book "Qiu Fengjia and Shantou" includes a number of poems and some articles he wrote during his time in Shantou, taking the poems he created as the main line, connecting the introduction of events, and showing the vicissitudes and deep friendship between Qiu Fengjia and Shantou in a vivid and vivid form. Including his life and activities such as education and wandering in Shantou, it comprehensively restores his past years in Shantou and shows his far-reaching influence on Shantou education.

At the launch ceremony of the new book, the organizers presented the book "Qiu Fengjia and Shantou" to the Municipal Education Bureau, the Municipal Archives, the Municipal Library, the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of each district (county) and other units. The Municipal Poetry Association and Ma Sanxiao outside the city also brought Qiu Fengjia's classic poems "Nanyang, Leaving Relatives and Friends (Eight Songs)", "Spring Tide", "Nine of the Saying Tide", etc., on the spot, using the art form of recitation to commemorate patriotic poets and nurture the feelings of the family and the country. In the future, the book "Qiu Fengjia and Shantou" will enter government organs, schools and public cultural venues to inspire the people of Shantou to contribute to the magnificent chapter of the new era by praising the deeds of patriotic heroes.
