Mention the Qing Dynasty great talent Ji Xiaolan children are well known. Ji Xiaolan was diligent and hardworking, knowledgeable, knowledgeable, and "omniscient", he was twenty-four years old, thirty-one years old, and was a famous academic master who held a high position and was well-known in China during the Qing Qianjia period.
He was frank in nature, intelligent and humorous, and left a lot of witty and funny anecdotes in his life and behind him, coupled with the exaggeration of some literati and inkers, he had the reputation of "talented man".

Once, Ji Xiaolan and He Yan went to a party with their colleagues. He Yan wanted to make a public appearance and take the opportunity to belittle Ji Xiaolan. He pointed to a painting of a small dog hanging on the wall of his master and asked Ji Xiaolan, "Is it the wolf (Ji Xiaolan was a waiter at the time) who is a dog?" Ji Xiaolan replied quietly, "The one with the tail drooping is a wolf, and the shangzhu (Shangshu) is a dog." (He Yan had done Shang Shu) a seat, and he was full of laughter.
Later, He Yan built a garden in Cangzhou and went to ask Ji to buy an inscription plaque. Ji Xiaolan had always been dissatisfied with He yan's reliance on power for personal gain, but it was inconvenient for the Qianlong Emperor to refuse his favor, so he inscribed the word "bamboo bud". Washu had always thought it was a word of congratulations. Later, when Liu Yong, a university scholar, returned to Shandong and passed through Cangzhou, after reading this plaque, he laughed a lot, asked who wrote it, and said, "Non-Ji Xiaolan can't do this."
He Yan asked why, Liu Yong pointed to the plaque and said, "Bamboo buds, every straw bag is also called." "Angry and Kun almost vomited blood.
One day, Ji Xiaolan and his ministers waited in the imperial room for the Qianlong Emperor to receive him. Because of the long time, everyone is very tired. Ji Xiaolan then said, "Why hasn't the old man come for so long?" Before he could finish speaking, the Qianlong Emperor had gently walked up behind Ji Xiaolan and said in a loud voice, "What does the old man say in three words?" Ji Xiaolan calmly took off the crown and knelt on the ground and replied: "Long life without boundaries is called old, standing on top of heaven and earth is the head, and father and mother are children." When the Qianlong Emperor heard this, he turned his anger into joy.
Another time, the Qianlong Emperor summoned Ji Yun to give him a drink, and when he was interested, he came out to have fun. The emperor said, "Two plates of beans." Ji Sui replied, "A ou of oil." The emperor changed his mouth and said, "I am talking about 'two butterflies'." Ji Sui replied: "My answer is 'a gull tour'." The emperor said, "The two snails between the flowers return." Ji replied, "A gull swims on the water." ”
In the fifty years of Qianlong (1785), the emperor held a feast of a thousand monks at the Qianqing Palace, including a 141-year-old man with a long life expectancy. The emperor wrote with the title of his advanced age: "The flower armor reunites, and adds three or seven years." "If Ji Xiaolan is to be exactly one hundred and forty-one years old, he must also be neat and tidy, and he is not allowed to use heavy characters." Ji Xiaolan did not hesitate to say to the next link: "Ancient rare double celebration, more one year old spring and autumn." Qi Jixiaolan was a great Confucian of the Qianlong Dynasty, and he usually helped the literati in many ways, so he was deeply admired by the literati. As soon as the imperial examination was concluded, the poems and names of the top ten candidates were circulated to the society, which caused the imperial history to participate in the performance, and the Qianlong Emperor summoned Ji Xiaolan to investigate the end. Ji Xiaolan did not want to involve others, so he replied, "A subject is a leaker." The Qianlong Emperor asked again why. Ji Xiaolan said: "The habit of books is a good work that must be chanted for a long time, and when reading the volume or memorizing its sentences, it is not exempt from leaking when you want to visit who wrote it." After hearing this, the emperor thought that Ji had spoken reasonably, so he could not do so.
Ji Xiaolan was quite conceited when he was young, and once told people that he did not read any books. Madame Ma asked him: "Jun claims to have no books and does not read, but have you ever read the imperial calendar?" He actually asked Ji Xiaolan. So he found the imperial calendar to read carefully, and actually looked at it and recited it. After zhongjinshi, someone told the Qianlong Emperor about this matter. The emperor asked Ji Xiaolan to recite the sixty-year imperial calendar in person, and he did memorize it verbatim.
In his later years, Ji Xiaolan said in his self-titled lian, "The floating and sinking sea is like a gull bird, and the book of life and death is like a fish." This can be said to be his wonderful self-portrait of himself.
