Zigong is a prefecture-level city in southern Sichuan Province, rich in well salt, which has been mined for 2,000 years. In fact, even the name of Zigong is derived from the names of the two salt wells of "Artesian Well" and "Gongjing".

Zigong is rich in rock and salt resources, and the proven reserves are 7.93 billion tons. As early as the Eastern Han Dynasty, Zigong began to mine well salt. Since then, in the past 2,000 years, zigong salt wells have blossomed everywhere, and more than 13,000 salt wells have been excavated on 55 square kilometers of land, accumulating more than 70 million tons of salt.

On May 20, 2006, the deep drilling and extraction technique of Zigong well salt was included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.

Peanuts originate in South America. In the 15th century, after Europeans arrived in South America, they introduced peanuts to Europe. In the late 15th century and early 16th century, the Portuguese brought peanuts to China when they were trading on the southeast coast of China. Since then, peanuts have taken root and sprouted in the vast land of China and become a very common crop.

Since the 1950s, Sichuan has successively developed excellent varieties such as Tianfu No. 3, Tianfu No. 4, Tianfu No. 5, Tianfu No. 7, Tianfu No. 8 and Tianfu No. 30, which are collectively known as "Tianfu Peanuts" after they are used in agricultural production. Among them, the "Tianfu peanuts" produced in Ziyang, Deyang, Chengdu, Nanchong, Yibin, Mianyang and other places have the best taste.
