On the afternoon of July 7, the reporter learned from the Zhumadian City Forestry Bureau that an excavator in Biyang County, the city, saved a small bird on the construction site, and after expert identification, it was a national second-level protected animal xiūliú that gave the owl a very similar "appearance".

On June 28, the Biyang County Forest public security bureau received a call from Liu mou to report that there was an injured "owl" at the construction site near Siyuan Middle School in Biyang County, asking for help.

After receiving the police, the police of the Biyang County Forest Public Security Bureau drove to the scene in time, found the policeman Liu Mou, and saw the injured bird with brown markings all over its body.

At first glance, it looks a lot like an owl, unable to stand and suspected of having a leg injury. After questioning, the policeman's name was Liu Gao, who lived in the market in Chengwan Town, Biyang County, and drove an excavator on the construction site of Biyang County. That morning, Liu Gao found the chick on the dirt slope under construction, which could not fly or move much at that time, suspecting that it had fallen from a tree and fell, so Liu Gao quickly fed some water and food.

According to the identification of experts from the Wildlife Protection Unit of the Forestry Bureau of Biyang County, this chick is scientifically known as the Bantou Partridge, which is a bird of the genus Owls and Partridges, which belongs to the national second-level protected animals, mainly inhabiting the plains, low hills and broad-leaved forests, mixed forests and bushes in the Zhongshan area at an altitude of about 2000 meters, feeding on insects, and the partridge preys on large insects like eagles.

The police officers praised Liu Gao's loving behavior on the spot and brought the injured spotted partridge back for careful treatment. The police on duty of the Biyang County Forest Public Security Bureau introduced: "It is an injured chick, waiting for its recovery and release in time when it grows up." ”
