Hualong Network August 10, 6:30 news (correspondent Chen Long Liu Dahua) a few days ago, a citizen who lives near the First Ring North Road Hospital in Longgang Street, Dazu District, Chongqing, mr. Deng came to the home of an "uninvited guest", big eyes, brown feathers, full of cuteness. However, there is an injury to the bridge of the nose and it is impossible to fly normally.

Mr. Deng's family did not dare to deal with it without authorization, so they had to ask for help from the Dazu District Forest Public Security Bureau. The forest public security police rushed to the scene and judged that the bird was injured. Subsequently, the police contacted the forestry bureau field protection staff, and the professionals finally confirmed that the bird was a national second-level protected animal, the xiū liú, also known as the little owl.

"Because in the urban area, it may be that the lights of the vehicle were shaken during the night flight, which affected the flight and hit the object, resulting in injuries at the bridge of the nose and inability to fly normally." The preliminary judgment of the wildlife protection staff is that the appearance of spotted partridge on the balcony of the resident is most likely to be kept, but the spotted partridge does not belong to the category of animals that can be raised, and once it is raised privately, it is against the law. Subsequently, the staff found a carton, placed the injured spotted partridge in the carton, and safely sent it to the Wildlife Rescue Center of the District Forestry Bureau for wound treatment.

It is understood that the spotted partridge is a small owl commonly distributed in the south of China, mainly tan, densely covered with narrow brownish-white transverse spots; the wings and tail feathers are black and brown, there are six distinct white transverse bands on the tail feathers, the head does not have ear feathers, it is day and night activity, so it can also be encountered in the forest during the day.

"It feeds mainly on insects, but also eats rodents and frogs." According to the wildlife staff, the spotted partridge belongs to the national second-level protected animal, is one of the world's endangered species, and is one of the United Nations "Endangered Wildlife List". At present, the rescued spotted partridge has recovered its ability to fly, and the Wildlife Rescue Center has also released it into the wild in time.
