The first amount recorded in the passbook was the balance of $107.74 on August 22, 1985, and the last amount was $60 on December 4, 1988, and there is still a balance of 1 cent on the passbook. More than 30 years later, how much money can there be on the balance of a penny on this passbook? If someone can figure it out for me, I will not hesitate to reward him with this money and profits. After graduating from Shanghai Commercial School in 1980, I was assigned to work in the financial department of a company on Duolun Road, and every day I had to go to this bank on Shanyin Road to get bank receipts, in the jargon of the industry, that is, "running bank". And every time I "run the bank", I will definitely take the opportunity to go to the Xinhua Bookstore next door to punch the clock. In the 1980s, I was a surging literary youth, and the significance of being able to run the Xinhua Bookstore seemed to be far greater than running the bank, not to mention that the predecessor of this bookstore was the former site of the Neishan Bookstore that Mr. Lu Xun often patronized! It is also true that on several occasions, because of lingering in the bookstore, I forgot to go to the bank, or when I came out of the bookstore, the bank had long been closed. To this end, there is no less criticism from the leadership. Nevertheless, once you buy the book you want, the frustration of being criticized immediately disappears and your heart blossoms.
To tell you the truth, today, I boldly disclose my property income in the 1980s, and I still have a little bit of self-satisfaction for my "high income" in that year. As everyone knows, the monthly salary of a working class was tens of yuan, and I was able to deposit nearly half of my salary in the bank every month, and I went back to compare the current "moonlight clan" young people, and I was still quite "Grande" at that time. In fact, my "Grande" did a very humiliating job, at that time, my work unit near Duolun Road, Sichuan North Road, Shanyin Road around the food and play places do not too much Oh, a little slack, a month's salary will soon "fall into the water". This year is the 140th anniversary of Mr. Lu Xun's birth, Hongkou District will launch the "1927 Lu Xun and Uchiyama Memorial Bookstore" project at the former site of the Uchiyama Bookstore that witnessed the friendship between Lu Xun and his Japanese friend Uchiyama, integrating the former site of the Uchiyama Bookstore with the Xinhua Bookstore Shanyin Road Branch and the Shanyin Road Branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, and the Bank of China on Shanyin Road will be built into a new landmark of urban culture as a whole. Nowadays, it is still difficult to hide my joy whenever I read the single edition of Lu Xun's works and world literature masterpieces that I bought at the Shanyin Road store of Xinhua Bookstore on the occasion of "running the bank".
