On October 20, Hurun Research Institute released the "2021 Hurun U30 China Entrepreneurial Leaders", which aims to find entrepreneurial leaders under the age of 30 (including 30 years old) in China. This is the fifth consecutive year that the Hurun Research Institute has released the U30 China Entrepreneurial Leaders List, with more than 1,000 people on the list in five consecutive years.

This year, a total of 241 young talents from 226 companies in the top ten industries were listed, such as Wang Jie, founder of Fun Table, Wang Mingzhe, CEO of Sengong Technology, Wufeng Technology founder and CEO Wu Difei, and Chen Huaibo, co-founder of Xianwei Grandpa Condiment Brand. Their average age is 28 years old, the youngest is Huang Haobin, the founder of Weiyuan Technology from the enterprise technology industry, 21 years old; followed by Treelab He Junxuan from the enterprise technology industry and Shangrong Technology Liu Hongji from the life service industry, 22 years old. Men and women accounted for 77 per cent and 23 per cent, respectively. The business has been established for an average of 2.4 years and has an average of 95 employees.

A quarter of them have received more than 100 million yuan in financing, an increase of 2 percentage points over last year; 30% of them have no financing, an increase of 15 percentage points over last year.

For the first time, Sequoia Capital China became the investment company with the largest number of projects on the list, followed by Zhen Fund and Tencent Investment. By region, the Yangtze River Delta region has the most U30 entrepreneurial leaders, with 72 on the list, surpassing the 61 in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. From the perspective of cities, Beijing ranks first, with 70 people; Shenzhen ranks second with 43 people surpassing Shanghai, Shanghai has 38 people, and the three major cities in North, Shenzhen and Shanghai account for 60% of the list. Hangzhou and Guangzhou ranked fourth and fifth with 19th and 18th places respectively. Hefei and Suzhou are new in the top ten.

From the perspective of industry, enterprise technology is still the preferred industry for entrepreneurs under the age of 30, accounting for 20%; entertainment media, education and advanced manufacturing ranked second to fourth; last year's ninth ranked medical and health, jumped to sixth place this year, and the proportion of people on the list rose by 5 percentage points to 7.5%.
