After seeing the deeds of the People's Liberation Army, he understood that the Communist Party was truly for the sake of the people and for the interests of the people, and in December 1949, he abandoned the dark and cast light on the Light, and gloriously joined the Communist Party of China.

Located more than 30 kilometers southwest of Jinhua, Pu Dafeng is the main support point for the defense area of the 134th Regiment of the 45th Division of the 15th Army of the Volunteer Army. The enemy was like a tidal wave, there was no chance to catch his breath, and the front-line defensive positions were in danger of breaking through. The enemy continued to attack the front of the three battalions of our army, and the situation was very critical. Battalion commander Wu Shangzhi quickly gathered his troops and urgently ordered all the remaining personnel of the 7th Company and the 9th Company to form a second echelon to continue to block the enemy. It was at this time that Chai Yunzhen was urgently transferred from the guard company of the division headquarters to supplement the 8 companies of the 3 battalions of the 134th Regiment.
Chai Yunzhen was tasked with launching a counterattack against the enemy who occupied our main peak position and retaking the position. This task can be imagined and extremely arduous, but Chai Yunzhen did not say a word and resolutely accepted the task.
Chai Yunzhen rushed to the front line with the warrior's head without turning back, and fought head-on with the enemy again and again, and the scene was a fierce battle. In the darkness, Chai Yunzhen and his party quickly advanced under the enemy's flares, and every time the enemy fired an illumination bomb, and the second flares, there would be a gap of 4-5 minutes at the moment of falling. They will take advantage of this gap to advance covertly, go around to the side of the enemy, and put a cold gun at the top of the hill where the enemy is located, attract attention and throw grenades at the same time to destroy the enemy. Under the hardships of Chai Yunzhen and his teammates, the first mountain was taken back.

At this time, although Chai Yunzhen was already mentally blurred, his vision was hazy, and he was confused and saw that the enemy had run more than 100 meters away, he gritted his teeth, turned over and crawled forward, and the blood pulled out a line and sprinkled on the Park Dafeng position. He grabbed the gun thrown by the enemy with all his might, exerted the last bit of strength, and stood up shakily, aiming at the enemy and pulling the trigger.
With a "bang", the enemy was shot, fell to the ground in response, lost gravity and rolled down the hill.
This was the last shot, and the sound resounded through the heavens and the earth, breaking through the long sky of the position, and the sound reverberated in the mountains for a long time. Chai Yunzhen, who had spent all his strength, fainted without regret.
The battle of Park Dafeng was very fierce. The troops led by Chai Yunzhen led 7 squads to successfully retake 3 hills, annihilated more than 400 enemy troops, and destroyed one of the command posts.
