Zhao Qiang, deputy editor-in-chief of the Global Times, | of media, took on the position of deputy editor-in-chief of the new People's Network

The personnel of the senior officials of The People's Network Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "People's Network") continues to adjust: following the appointment of Ye Zhenzhen and Luo Hua, Zhao Qiang has now served as the deputy editor-in-chief of the People's Network.

The "Senior Management Team" column of the People's Network was recently updated to show that Zhao Qiang, who was the former deputy editor-in-chief of the Global Times, was appointed deputy editor-in-chief of the People's Network in May this year.

According to the official resume, Zhao Qiang was born in July 1975, a member of the Communist Party of China, a doctoral candidate, and a senior editor.

Since July 2001, Zhao Qiang has been a cadre and chief section member of the Information Bureau of the Central Propaganda Department. Since May 2004, Zhao Qiang has worked in Qiushi Magazine, and has successively served as the editor, deputy editor, director of the office secretariat, director of the foreign affairs office, and deputy director of the office of Qiushi magazine.

In April 2014, Zhao Qiang was appointed as the chief editor of the News Coordination Department of the People's Daily, and in February 2015, he was transferred to the deputy editor-in-chief of the Global Times.

Previously, in April this year, Ye Zhenzhen, who was the former secretary of the party committee, vice chairman and president of the people's network, was appointed as the party secretary, chairman and president of the people's network, and Luo Hua, who was formerly the director and deputy editor-in-chief of the people's network, became a member of the party committee, director, editor-in-chief and vice president of the people's network.

According to the official introduction of the People's Network, on January 1, 1997, the People's Network was officially launched, which is a large-scale online information interaction platform based on news built by the People's Daily, a media culture listed company controlled by the People's Daily, and one of the largest comprehensive online media on the Internet. On April 27, 2012, People's Daily was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (stock code "603000"), the first news website to be listed on the domestic A-share market.
