Yesterday, Shengquan Street carried out a rectification operation of combustible canopy and protruding external wall protective net in the B area of Huxi Yuan, Huxi Community, and carried out centralized demolition of more than 30 households in 10 buildings in the community to eliminate fire safety hazards.

Early that morning, in front of Building 10 in Area B of Huxi Garden in Huxi Community, the staff of Shengquan Street pulled up a cordon downstairs to maintain order at the scene, prevent falling objects from high altitudes, and ensure the safety of past residents. At the same time, the street organized four construction teams to go to the homes of 30 households in the building to remove the combustible canopy and the protective net of the protruding outer wall built by the residents. After demolition, the building restored a clean and tidy façade.

"After the removal of the canopy and the protruding protective net of the outer wall, the safety hazards have been eliminated and the environment of the community has been improved and beautified." As a member of the community, I should support and cooperate. Zeng Hualun, a resident of 10 buildings in Huxiyuan B area, said. Earlier, through the publicity work carried out by the street and community neighborhood committees, Zeng Hualun realized the harm caused by combustible rain shelters and protruding protective nets on the outer wall. On the same day, he actively cooperated with the staff to remove his own combustible canopy and the protective net of the protruding outer wall.

It is understood that Shengquan Street has 9 communities and 2 administrative villages, including 22 property communities, as well as 2 old town towns of Shuanglong Old Street and Xiangtang Old Street. In daily life, some residents install prominent protective nets or combustible rain shelters on the outer wall of the house because of anti-theft and other reasons, which to a certain extent buries the hidden dangers of fire safety and threatens the safety of people's lives and property. After the preliminary meticulous household inspection, there are 134 combustible canopy of high-rise buildings, 960 households with prominent external wall protection nets, and 1766 households with no escape windows in the jurisdiction.

In order to effectively prevent and resolve the hidden dangers of fire safety in buildings and safeguard the safety of people's lives and property, Shengquan Street has established a leading group for the rectification of combustible rain shelters and prominent external walls in accordance with the requirements of the city on the comprehensive management of fire safety in high-rise buildings, as well as the requirements of our district on the remediation of combustible rain shelters for high-rise buildings and prominent external wall protective nets, and adopted three rectification methods of community assistance for rectification, owner self-rectification and street organization forced demolition, to implement rectification funds. Solidly promote the special rectification of combustible canopy and prominent external wall protective nets for high-rise buildings, and promote the safety and stability of the jurisdiction.

Up to now, the remediation of combustible canopy and prominent external wall protective net in Shengquan Street has completed 70% of the total, and it is expected that all high-rise buildings in the jurisdiction will reach the remediation target by the end of this year, basically solving the outstanding problems of fire safety.
