In 2014, "My Sister, Anna" was first put on the drama stage by Yang Ting. Six years later, the new and extremely changing choreography, the lighting full of large-area space concepts, and the more flowing and flexible costumes have made this play present a completely different style and temperament from the premiere. Director Yang Ting said, "Anna Karenina is a brave woman, she has thoughts and the courage to break the shackles of society. She is not the heroine of the tragedy of love, but a woman who dares to pursue the meaning of life. What I'm expressing in the play is not love. ”
Performed by 8 actors, the work takes 100 minutes to present a stage play with mixed tragedies and joys. Screenwriter Guo Qi reinterpreted the image of "Anna", a brave woman who was reborn for love and died for love from the perspective of her brother Scheva. Behind Anna, the marriage of her friend Torrey and her brother Stiva, whom she grew up with, was a model of marriage in Russian society at the time. But Anna did not choose this "deserved" marriage, for love, she did not hesitate to abandon her husband and son, carrying huge social pressure.
Previously, the heroines Wu Yue and Qi Xi in the two versions of "My Sister, Anna" gave the audience a different Anna. In the 2020 version of "My Sister, Anna", the heroine Lian Lian returned to the drama stage for the first time from the hot drama "Yanxi Palace" and "Great River", portraying an Anna with great personality characteristics. Brother Schiva's actor, The National Drama Theatre's first-class actor, House Bin, portrays the image of a high-society playboy to the fullest.
