author:Xinhua

Nanjing, 14 Jul (Xinhuanet) -- Wandering through Taiwan businessman Lin Yongqing's "Taiwan Seabream Story Museum" in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, this reporter truly saw the ability of The Taiwanese people to "make a big fuss" and strive for excellence. There are delicious seabream dishes, lush green vegetable patches, poultry strolling around, tea or dining, and even a show of cooking in the kitchen...

"The Story Hall is not only a restaurant, but also a sales platform, which not only shows the popular science knowledge and circular agriculture knowledge of Taiwanese seabream, but also deep processing of fish, and our business has shifted from agriculture to service industry." Lin Yongqing said.

Taiwan seabream is currently recognized as one of the most economical and nutritious fish in the world, suitable for breeding and growing in tropical and subtropical regions. In 2009, Lin Yongqing contracted 30 acres of water surface in Zhangpu Town, Kunshan City, and after intensive research and repeated trial breeding, finally overcame the problem of wintering, explored a set of Taiwan seabream breeding technology suitable for Jiangnan region, and cultivated new varieties of Taiwan seabream that can withstand cold and winter.

Talking about his baby snapper, Lin Yongqing is like a family treasure. He said that Taiwan seabream has deep breeding prospects, its breeding density can reach 3 times that of conventional farmed fish, and one mu can harvest tens of thousands of catties. "Kunshan is rich in water and good water quality, which is very suitable for raising Taiwan seabream."

In Lin Yongqing's view, fish farming is not a skill, in his blueprint, fishery circular agriculture, through scientific production methods and management methods to lengthen the agricultural industry chain is the core of the operation. It is under the impetus of this concept that the "Taiwan Seabream Story Museum" came into being.

"From the base breeding to the deep processing and sales of the story hall, this is a sublimation of the business format." Lin Yongqing said, "In the future, we will also actively develop circular agriculture, implement seed engineering, develop new agricultural products, such as traditional Chinese medicine and vegetables, and finally achieve leapfrog development of agriculture through multi-channel sales." ”

Since the opening of the story hall, it has been full of customers, and even some merchants have come thousands of miles to find out. Hong Kong businessman Wang Zhou is one of them. He flew to the mainland, and after tasting it, he "smashed" a large order of 100,000 kilograms in one fell swoop.

Qiao Shouqing, general manager of the story museum, said that it is not only as simple as providing catering services, but more importantly, it is more important to experience ecological agriculture and seabream culture, "Now many guests will bring their own merchants and friends to us, and some merchants will naturally become our customers after they come."

Today, a qingshuitai seabream breeding base with a total area of 1300 mu is under construction, and the first phase of 300 mu has been put into use. The base is also the first industrial base in mainland China to use ecological construction methods to cultivate Taiwan seabream, including 72 modern fish ponds, 4 large-scale circulating ecological pools, 3 modern laboratories and leisure agricultural facilities. After the base is fully completed, the total annual output of Taiwan seabream can reach more than 5,000 tons.

"At present, when doing agriculture, we can no longer think of problems with old thinking, ecological agriculture and organic agriculture should be closely related to the service industry, which can be made into an organic whole." Lin Yongqing said.
