On 2 November, the Hong Kong Police Force held a funeral ceremony of the highest honor at the Hung Hom World Funeral Home for Inspector General of the Marine Police (posthumously) who died earlier, in attendance by Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Leung Chun-ying, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor and a number of officials, and some members of the public watched the hearse leave outside the funeral home to pay their final tribute to Lam Wan-yee. After the funeral, the funeral procession was held at the headquarters of the Marine Police Sub-district of the Shipyard Government shipyard of Aung Chuan Chau Government.
