When Liu Guang was 13 years old, his father died of illness, and his mother pulled three underage children alone, and under the guidance of the family rules and family discipline she upheld, Liu Guangdi studied and grew up, climbed his career, and left a glorious page for China's modern history.

Obey the mother's orders: poor and diligent and studious

In the eleventh year of Tongzhi, Liu Guangdi's father Liu Zongzhun died, and the family's top pillar collapsed, and the family's situation deteriorated sharply. Guangdi's mother, Madame Wang, is a strong woman who supports the operation of the family. In order to save money, there are often no lettuce on the dinner table, and you can only play a tooth sacrifice once every two or three months. In order to save firewood, Guangdi and his younger siblings often went to the carpenter's shop to pick up some shaved wood chips and use them as fuel; when it was time to open the pot, the bean blossoms worth three yuan were the family's food for a day.

Under such a difficult circumstance, Mrs. Wang, as always, urged her children to study seriously. The shackles of reading, the cost of the mother's illness, the family is even more embarrassed, and it has reached the brink of not being able to go on. When relatives and friends saw this situation, they all came to the door to care for and comfort, saying that your boss Guangdi is 17 years old, it is better to learn to buy and sell, and to stand up this family with you. When he was 20 years old, Liu Guangdi returned from the supervision examination, and after meeting his mother, he stood silently with a dark face. In the year of Wu Shu, when Liu Guangdi entered the military aircraft department, according to the "custom" of the Qing officialdom, the provincial feudal departments wanted to send "charcoal respect" and "don't respect" to the newly recruited ministers with 350 taels of silver, but Liu Guangdi claimed that he would not accept gifts and refused them all. This story is recorded in the "Qing Barnyard Banknotes", a valuable historical document of the Qing Dynasty.

On the sixth day of the first month of August in the twenty-fourth year of Guangxu (1989), Cixi imprisoned Guangxu, boycotted the New Deal, re-bowed the curtain to listen to the government, and frantically searched for the Restoration Party. At dawn on the ninth day of the first month, the soldiers turned into Liu Guangdi's home in the ropesmith's alley, arrested Liu Guangdi, who was still wearing a white cloth sweat coat, into the prison cart and rushed away.

Seeing that Liu Guangdi's apartment was so simple, the officials who came to arrest Liu Guangdi also had to admire it: "Lady Liu is like an old woman, and her account is poor, but she is not like an official, whining!" ”

Heirloom: Teach your brothers to read and be motivated

Liu Guangdi has a 13-year-old younger brother named Liu Guangyun (刘光筼), the village of Nan. After Guangdi served in Beijing, he also came to Beijing to stay in Liu Guangdi's home and strive to study and earn a meritorious name.

In 1892, 20-year-old Liu Guangyun came to a dilapidated mansion on the east side of Nantou Road in Xuanwumenwai Ropesmith Hutong, and saw that the apartment was unusually simple, there was no decent furniture in the living room, and the top bucket was leaking, rotten paper was hanging everywhere, and children played, making the living room chaotic.

This is the apartment rented by Liu Guangdi in silver five or two months.

For the problem of Nancun's greed for glitz, Liu Guangdi guided it many times.

Since 1990, Liu Guangyun has repeatedly failed to succeed, "his heart is more and more complicated, not to be extreme", and Guangdi has repeatedly taught him not to be discouraged. In 1904, 6 years after Liu Guangdi's death, Liu Guangyun caught the last train of the imperial examination and was honored with the results of the eighty-five of the three top three in the Jiachen Kedian Examination, and together with Liu Guangdi, he was called "one discipline and two jinshi" by posterity.

After Liu Guangdi's death, Liu Guangyun personally helped the spirit to return to his hometown, and was the Liu brother who witnessed Liu Guangdi's high and clean family style.
