Liu Guangdi, a native of Zhao Hua Town, Fushun County, was one of the "Six Gentlemen of Wushu" in the late Qing Dynasty. ZhaoHua Town, 40 kilometers south of the county seat of Fushun, is surrounded by rivers on three sides. This thousand-year-old town "built in the Song Dynasty, flourishing in the Ming Dynasty, and flourishing in the Qing Dynasty" was born of water, prospered by salt, and was famous for Liu Guangdi.
Stepping on the old bluestone slab, in an alley called West Street, the "Former Residence of Liu Guangdi" comes into view. The former residence is a wooden structure with a small green tile roof. In addition to the former residence, there are many historical monuments about Liu Guangdi in the ancient town. Mingyue Lou - Liu Guangdi's private library where he studied when he was a teenager, Wanqing Book House - the place where Liu Guangdi wrote poems, and there are relics such as his crown tomb on the side of Luohan Temple.
In order to commemorate Liu Guangdi, Fushun County carried out a series of cultural inheritance projects based on the deeds of Liu Guangdi, the "Gentleman of a Thousand Autumns". "Liu Guangdi Manuscript and Research" has been solemnly published, showing Liu Guangdi's glorious image of the Erhu Concerto "Ode to the Gentleman" has attracted much attention, fushun county government and experts and scholars, research, excavation, dissemination of Liu Guangdi's personality spirit and behavior deeds, but also successively created the Sichuan opera "Liu Guangdi", compiled the documentary "Liu Guangdi And His Affairs" and so on.
Liu Haisheng, the author of "Liu Guangdi's People and His Affairs", is nearly ninety years old this year, and he has exhausted his life's energy to study Liu Guangdi. In his view, whether today or in the future, carrying forward Liu Guangdi's personality spirit has important practical significance of "senior administration and educating people".
