The first lifestyle art store of the luxury brand dior, part of the French luxury company lvmh Group, was officially opened on 29 July at 28 Avenue Montaigne in Paris.
The store, which previously sold Dior's eyewear series, now sells Dior luxury home fabrics, furniture and tableware series, and the product style focuses on Dior's iconic prints, such as toile de jouy's classic French pattern, bell orchid pattern, bee pattern and so on.
Dior calls the collection a "showcase of dreams and imaginations", imbued with the tastes and emotions of the late brand founder, Mr. Christian Dior, in part inspired by his hometown of milly-la-forêt. It is said that he also dreamed of becoming an architect before becoming a fashion designer, and incorporated his understanding of architectural lines and structure into clothing design.

Dior began launching the Lifestyle Arts series in 1947. At the Milan Furniture Fair last April, Dior's work took an important place. At the time, the brand collaborated with dimorestudio, a Milanese architecture and interior design studio, to design 14 special household items made of gold, silver, bronze, brushed or chrome steel, including vases, candlesticks, ashtrays, trays, frames, umbrellas, etc., but accepted private orders.
The store isn't dior's only new move in Paris. In mid-July, dior opened a new flagship store covering an area of 890 square meters at 127 Champs Elysées. Because dior's iconic store at 30 Avenue Montaigne is being renovated, the construction period is expected to take two years. The new flagship store on the Champs Elysées will be open until the old store reopens in 2021.
After completion, the store area of 30 Avenue Montaigne will be tripled to 3,000 square meters. The newly opened dior lifestyle store at 28 Avenue Montaigne will also complement this historic and iconic store.
