From the perspective of consumption, the current per capita consumption expenditure of 560 million farmers and 230 million permanent residents in cities and towns is only 47% and 68% of urban residents, respectively, if the worries of consumption are relieved through urbanization, consumption expenditure will increase year by year; the countryside has a beautiful ecology and high-quality agricultural products, and if it can supply products and services suitable for citizens to go to the countryside for consumption, it will release considerable growth potential. From the perspective of investment, there are currently shortcomings in urban and rural infrastructure and public service facilities, especially the per capita investment in public facilities for farmers is only one-fifth of that of urban residents, and if the integrated development of urban and rural infrastructure and basic public services is promoted, it will open up huge investment space. We should improve the institutional mechanism for the integrated development of urban and rural areas, and accelerate the exploration and cultivation of the huge potential for economic growth.
