Of course, these are all famous historical and cultural cities or famous historical sites, so what are the more wonderful works of nostalgia for an unknown historical site that you encounter? Today, I will read with you a nostalgic poem by the Qing Dynasty poet Gong Zizhen:
"Que Ta Zhi • Passing Through the Abandoned Garden" Qing Dynasty: Gong Zizhen Desert spring and spring do not stop, vine thorns lead the clothes, hindering the sidewalk. It is a ruthless deviation dance, and the mask is full of flying feathers. Who is the Lord of the deep embroidery yard? A lone flower, the corner of the wall is as bright as promised! No one has come to fold it, and the blossoms are not in line with the spring twilight.
When we first read this poem, we have the impression that it is a poem describing the scenery of the abandoned garden, and the poet also mixes his own personal feelings in the next description. At the time of writing this poem, Gong Zizhen was the youngest and most ambitious, but at this time, the poet Ying Shuntianxiang only won a sub-list, and three years later he also fell off the list again, so this period is also the most depressed stage in the poet's heart, this poem was created in this period, so it is not difficult to see the poet's complex life experience in this poem.
The general meaning of the poem is that in the abandoned garden, a barren grass looks lush under the slanting sun, and even this cannot retain the spring light that was released that year. Look straight ahead at wild vines and thorns encroaching on the path in the courtyard, blocking the progress of pedestrians. However, Willow, who did not understand temperament, chose to dance with the wind at this time, densely and gently slapping on the face of pedestrians. Who will be the owner of this long-deserted but flowered yard? Inadvertently, I caught a glimpse of a flower in the corner of the wall opening. Don't complain that no one came to pick him, because this flower is blooming in the spring twilight, this is really not the time!
At the beginning of the poem, it is written about the beautiful scenery of the abandoned courtyard in the spring, although the poem is talking about the abandoned garden, but from the words and lines we do not see that this is a deserted courtyard, which may be that no one cleans it. In this poem, the poet also uses the "vine thorns" and "flying feathers" to represent the desolate scenery, but does not use the ordinary scenery of flowers and plants, from which it is not difficult to see that this may be the poet's feelings about the current situation of the court and society at that time, but even in the face of such unfairness, the poet still calms his mind.
The second half of this poem is still tightly clasped to the spring color of the garden for description, but the next description is mostly the scene of late spring, a flower blooming alone quietly clings to the corner, but no one comes to pick it, I think the poet should compare himself to this flower, but also reflects the embarrassing situation that although the poet is overflowing in China, but no one cares. In the last two sentences, we see the poet's self-encouragement, on the one hand, the poet encourages himself to continue to maintain a noble moral sentiment, on the other hand, he encourages the younger generation to cherish the good times of youth, hoping to make a difference at the best age, and not to miss the opportunity.
Although this poem embodies extremely rich feelings, the poet describes it very euphemistically, and the deep meaning is often reflected in the scene described. I have to let the poet deliberately describe the abandoned courtyard to let the reader feel the corruption of the imperial court at that time, that is, the traitors like the "thorns" of the Qing Dynasty, and it is precisely because of this that the Qing Dynasty at this time will want to slowly abandon the garden.
It is not difficult to see that the poet is also extremely disgusted with the current corruption, and the whole poem expresses the poet's concern for the future of the country and the happiness of the people. In my opinion, the poet also hopes that the rulers of the dynasty can see the poem he wrote, and can also understand the meaning he wants to express, hoping that the rulers can eliminate those "thorny" traitors in the court and dig up the flowers that grow at the root of the wall, which is also the meaning that the poet wants to express the most.
At this time, the poet was still young, but he saw the fate of the national court so deeply in his heart! Gong Zizhen, as a literati in the mid-to-late Jiaqing period, also hints at the beginning of the decline of the Qing Dynasty.
