Huang Maocai worked in the slag cave, not voluntarily, when he was young, his family was poor, and he caught up with the Kuomintang soldiers in arresting Zhuangding, and Huang Maocai entered the Kuomintang military camp in a vacuum. Soon, the superiors saw that Huang Maocai was intelligent and obedient, and arranged for him to be in the slag cave to be responsible for the management of the guards, when he was only 22 years old.
During his time as a guard in Zha Di Dong, Huang Maocai met his fellow countryman Jiang Jie, and after learning of jiang jie's encounter, he expressed deep sympathy for her. Huang Maocai has no power and no power, and has no right to release Sister Jiang and others, but he also admires Sister Jiang's personality and ideals and decides to do something for her.
Under the influence of Sister Jiang, Huang Maocai decided to become her "messenger", passing information and letters to her. In the slag cave, Huang Mao is one of the five guards, mainly responsible for the release and collection of wind, and treats the "prisoners" very gently on weekdays, feeling that everyone is a Chinese, and there is no need to embarrass people.
Huang Maocai used his special identity to help Sister Jiang send a letter she wrote to her son, which was very touching and well known to the world through Huang Maocai. In addition, Huang Maocai also helped hu qifen, a female communist, and others to pass on important information, which can be regarded as a corresponding contribution to the revolution.
With the collapse of Chiang Kai-shek's government, the agents, after receiving Orders from Shangfeng, began to plan and execute the people in the slag cave in batches. Although Huang Maocai had the heart to protect Sister Jiang and others, he was weak and helpless, and could only watch as Sister Jiang and a number of other patriots were killed.
Soon, the guards of the Zha Di Cave were dismissed, and Huang Maocai was unwilling to continue to serve the military command, so he chose to return to his hometown and plan to spend the rest of his life as a teacher. Unexpectedly, after returning to his hometown, Huang Maocai was arrested by the local public security in less than two months, on the grounds that he was a military commander and had served as a guard of the slag cave.
In the absence of evidence, the local case-handling personnel forcibly forced Huang Maocai to confess, so that he had to "admit" that he had participated in the massacre of the slag hole, and under the further coercion of the local case-handling personnel, he admitted that he was a "lurking" agent.
Two "crimes" were charged, Huang Maocai could not wash himself, and in 1953, the local court sentenced Huang Maocai to death. After learning that he had been sentenced to death, Huang Maocai shouted: "Wronged, I have done a lot of things for Sister Jiang and the comrades in Zha Di Dong." ”

The local case-handling personnel felt that there might be something wrong with the case and commuted Huang Mao's life sentence before it was clarified. At that time, very few people survived from the slag cave, and even if there were, they were not familiar with Huang Maocai and could not prove his innocence.
In the following 13 years, Huang Maocai was humiliated in prison, almost every week to be criticized several times, gradually, he also became numb, felt that there was no hope, after more than ten years in prison, Huang Mao was released and returned home. At that time, after the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee proposed to redress unjust, false and wrongly decided cases, Huang Mao began to spend a lot of time looking for witnesses to prove his innocence.
Perhaps by coincidence, in 1981, Huang Maocai found Zeng Zixia, a female comrade who knew him in the slag cave, in Chengdu. At first, Zeng Zixia did not know Huang Maocai, until after listening to him tell about the slag cave, he suddenly realized that seeing Huang Maocai, who could not prove his identity and had suffered for decades, Zeng Zixia could not help but burst into tears and sympathize with his suffering.
At Huang Maocai's request, Zeng Zixia chose to testify, and she contacted more than a dozen members of the detention in the Zha Di Cave who were still alive at the time, and jointly rehabilitated Huang Maocai. In 1982, with the presence of witnesses, the organization acquitted Huang Maocai, a sentence he had waited for too long, for more than 28 years.
There can be several thirty-two years in life, Huang Maocai for his innocence, do not give up, do not confess guilt, his suffering deserves everyone's sympathy. Regrettably, huang Maocai spent most of his time in prison in the best middle-aged era of his life, and his wife was terrified of him and did not live a good life.
Huang Maocai, 60, was acquitted, and at this moment, all his efforts were worth it. In his later years, Huang Maocai received the care of the organization and received a monthly subsidy of thirty yuan, which was a kind of compensation for him. In his hometown, Huang Maocai took his wife who suffered with him, and the two spent their old age in peace and lived a leisurely old age.
