"Yangjiang" gets its name from the "Moyang River" in the territory, Yangjiang was called "Moyang" in ancient times, which belongs to the ancient Yue land, and most of the people living in it are Yue people. In the ancient Yue language, "cow" is "Mo" and "sheep" is "Yang", so "Mo Yang" means cow and sheep. Therefore, the river that flows through Moyang is called the Moyang River. In ancient times, the south of the mountain and the north of the water were known as Yang, and the Yang River was in the north of the river, so there was the name of "Yang River".
