In fact, although the Taoist priest Jia Shifang appears in February River's novels and TV series, he is a fictional character. However, in the historical records, there were indeed people, and they were eventually executed by the Yongzheng Emperor, so what is the matter?

In the Yongzheng Dynasty, Jia Shifang last appeared when the elder Yin Xiang was seriously ill, when the Yongzheng Emperor went to visit him, and one of the people who withdrew was a Taoist. After this, it never appeared again, and the last mention was that he was through Qiao Yindi's mouth, and she advised the Yongzheng Emperor to say that Jia Daoshi's elixir was a good thing, but it could not be eaten more, and it should be slowly replenished.
So where did Jia Shifang go later?
In fact, he was killed, and the person who killed him was no one else, it was the Yongzheng Emperor who invited him into the palace to treat his illness, and even in a sense, the Yongzheng Emperor was revenge!
As we all know, among all the emperors of the Qing Dynasty, only the Yongzheng Emperor believed in Buddhism, believed in Buddhism when he was a prince, and changed his faith when he was an emperor. There are also many portraits painted by the Yongzheng Emperor disguised as Taoists in history, and it is precisely because he believes in the Tao that there is an allusion to "searching for Taoist warlocks all over the world":
It is said that Yongzheng was eight years old, and this year not only was his good brother Old Thirteenth Yinxiang terminally ill, but even the Yongzheng Emperor himself could not bear it. In the historical data, there is no record of what illness the Yongzheng Emperor had, but judging from the suspension of the Halloween feast, the suspension of the annual execution of prisoners, and the pardon of a number of criminals, it was indeed very serious.
Even the Yongzheng Emperor began to summon several important ministers, arrange for the aftermath, and mention his illness:
"It seems that malaria is not malaria, or it does not sleep all night, or it does not think about eating for a day or two, cold and heat come and go, and yin and yang contradict each other."
In the Yongzheng Emperor's secret compromise to the governor of Yungui, Ortai, it is also mentioned:
"Those who violate peace in this year's life have won the great grotesque events."

Regarding the Yongzheng Emperor's illness, after the Korean envoy returned, he reported to his own king that the Yongzheng Emperor was actually overindulged and caused:
"The empress abandoned the capital and only lived in the Yuanmingyuan with her favorite concubines, and the daily affairs were absurd... There are corpses under the lower part and below the waist that are not cold, and the cloud cannot be used. ”
However, the historical data on the Side of the Qing Dynasty denied it, and Zhaomu the Prince of Li wrote in the "Miscellaneous Records of the Xiaoting Pavilion":
"Sejong has a thousand and one moments, and the sound of the Emperor is rare... Emperor Xian reigned for thirteen years, worrying day and night, without any entertainment of civil engineering or sound. ”
In fact, now it seems that the Yongzheng Emperor's illness is actually too tired, all the emperors in the past five thousand years are counted, and the Yongzheng Emperor's diligence is also ranked first; then there is the fact that after his own execution of Nian Tangyao, he has suffered defeats one after another for the rebellion of the Dzungars, and he has set up a military aircraft department, and he personally directs the battle, which can be described as day and night; then there are all kinds of rumors that he is not in the right position, and even people like Zeng Jing ran to plot against General Yue Zhongqi, so angry that the Yongzheng Emperor wrote a "Mystery of the Great Righteousness" and sent people to take Zeng Jing to preach throughout the country... ...
In particular, the death of the old thirteenth Yinxiang dealt a blow to the Yongzheng Emperor, and the Records of Emperor Shizong of the Qing Dynasty recorded the Yongzheng Emperor at that time:
"The center mourns, although it is strong and self-dispatching, and the diet is tasteless, and it is impossible to sleep peacefully."
After Jia Shifang entered the palace, he was indeed worthy of the name, and he also had some skills, after his treatment, the Yongzheng Emperor was mostly ill, and he also praised Jia Shifang in the secret compromise to Ortai:
"Violating the peace is suitable for the effective treatment of Jia Shifang."
The secret compromise given to Li Wei was also exaggerated and praised Jia Shifang, and also praised Li Wei for his meritorious recommendation:
"Peace, it has all healed. The peace of decay is caused by the strength of Jia Shifang recommended by Qing. ”

Therefore, Jia Shifang's death blamed himself for being too much, and he also blamed the Yongzheng Emperor for his belief, he really believed, not fake, and really thought that Jia Shifang could control himself. This was naturally not allowed for a Yongzheng Emperor who was extremely selfish about power.
After the Yongzheng Emperor later died, the reigning Qianlong Emperor was also black enough to give three holy decrees to the eunuchs and palace ladies, all of which implied that the Yongzheng Emperor died of faith and died eating Dan:
"Emperor Kaowan had a few spare moments, and he heard that there was a fire cultivation outside. The Sacred Heart knew its wrongs very well, and wanted to try its tricks, thinking that the game was a tool for dissipation, because Zhang Taixu, Wang Dingqian, and several other people were placed in the idle place of the Western Garden, and the Sacred Heart regarded it, such as Hai Youren and other ears, and did not listen to his words, did not use a single medicine..."
