According to NBC reports, on Tuesday, local time, at the annual Big Stone Blue Marlin Championship in Morehead, North Carolina, NBA celebrity and Wasp owner Michael Jordan and his team caught a blue marlin weighing 442.3 pounds (about 200 kilograms).
Jordan and his crew caught the blue marlin in a fishing boat called Catch 23, which is currently ranked sixth in weight by Jordan's team, with the top team catching 494.2 pounds. With two days to go before the six-day event, Jordan and his team have a chance to catch heavier fish to improve their rankings.
The final winner will receive a prize of $1.1 million, and the first team to catch a marlin weighing more than 500 pounds will receive an additional $550,000.
