On November 1, Chen Ping, secretary of the Zaozhuang Municipal Party Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, investigated the construction and upgrading of the Phoenix Greenway area. Chen Ping inspected the landscape nodes along the Phoenix Greenway, learned about the planning of the Moshang Blossom and Phoenix Innovative and Energetic Town at the Poplar Forest Station; listened to the reports on the transformation and upgrading plan of Yangyu Reservoir, Machang Reservoir and Xingyu Village Dongshanyu in Yangyu Provincial Forest Park; and listened to the introduction of the project planning of the Hongye Valley and Niulangshan National Forest Rehabilitation Base at the west gate of the Liuyuan Greenway (Guanshi Liuyuan). Chen Ping pointed out that the Phoenix Greenway is the city's beautiful city business card, all levels and departments should attach great importance to the construction and upgrading of the greenway area, adhere to the ecological priority, green development, high-standard planning, high-quality construction, give full play to the ecological value, humanistic value and industrial value of the greenway, and create ecological projects, people's livelihood projects and high-quality projects that the masses are satisfied with. It is necessary to improve supporting services such as leisure stations and cultural and sports facilities, improve the environment of surrounding villages, reasonably select varieties of flowers and trees, strengthen planting and maintenance, and consolidate the effect of greening the landscape. It is necessary to carefully design and lay out landscape nodes, connect the sea of flowers, green areas, mountains, and lakes along the greenway, create a beautiful ecological landscape with green mountains and trees, and babbling water, and promote the coordinated development of tourism, health and leisure, and rural revitalization.
Chen Ping then presided over a symposium at the Municipal Building, listened to the report of the "Construction and Upgrading Plan of Phoenix Greenway Area", and the relevant departments, design units and construction units made statements respectively.
Chen Ping stressed that the Phoenix Greenway Project is an important support for improving the functions of the central urban area and optimizing the livable environment, and plays an important role in enhancing the city's taste and stimulating the vitality of development.
