According to a report by the Southeast China Network on 30 October, on 29 October, the Ninth Straits Youth Day and Straits Youth Summit, co-sponsored by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, the All-China Youth Federation, and the Fujian Provincial People's Government, was held. Acting Governor Zhao Long attended and delivered a speech at the main venue of the Fuzhou Strait International Convention and Exhibition Center, announcing the official launch of the event. Long Mingbiao, deputy director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the CPC Central Committee and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, and Wang Hongyan, chairman of the All-China Youth Federation, made video speeches; provincial leaders Zhou Lianqing and Guo Ningning attended the meeting; and Lin Baojin delivered a welcome speech.

It is reported that the summit, with the theme of "Working Together for The Power of Youth", is the core activity of the Ninth Straits Youth Festival, using a combination of online and offline methods, setting up sub-venues in 7 cities such as Shanghai, Taipei, and Guangzhou, covering a wider range than in previous years, setting up three links of launch, sharing, and dialogue, and comprehensively displaying the mainland's surging economic vitality, strong development momentum, and broad space for cross-strait integration and development from the perspective of Taiwanese youth and the use of new media methods. The Straits Youth Festival will also hold activities such as the Yellow Lane and Cross-Strait Youth Culture Exchange Week, the Cross-Strait Design to Go to the Countryside and Help Local Students Create Students Seminar, and the Third Keju (Zhuzi) Cultural Cloud Experience Camp for students on both sides of the Strait.
