On November 1, 1950, almost at the same time that the Chinese Volunteer Army crossed the Yalu River and quietly entered the battlefield of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, an assassination of US President Tuluman took place in Washington, D.C.

History has always been such a coincidence that the White House at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C., was nearly completed on November 1, 1800, when the second president of the United States, Adams, was the first to move into the official residence of the President of the United States. 150 years later, due to disrepair and the chaotic addition of pavilions, the structure of the White House at that time was seriously damaged, and it was once declared a dangerous house that could collapse. To this end, Truman had to start an overhaul of the White House at the same time as launching the Northeast Asian War, and he also moved out of the White House and temporarily lived in Blair's Palace across the road.
Blair's Palace has traditionally been the temporary residence of the President-elect of the United States one week before taking the oath of office. In 2020, Biden "sent" Trump away from there; the current vice president of the United States, Harris, also lived there for a long time because the vice president's palace needed to be renovated. But Blair's Palace was much smaller. On the same day as November 1, 1950, two Assassins assassinated Truman there.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="8" > Puerto Rico, a "U.S. territory" that refused to join the United States</h1>
Puerto Rico is a small island located between the United States and Venezuela, east of Cuba. Historically, the island nation had been colonized by Spain for a long time; after the Spanish-American War of 1898, Puerto Rico was occupied by the United States. In 1917, the United States "forcibly" granted U.S. citizenship to the island's residents; the island has since become "the 51st state not incorporated into the United States." But the independence movement in Puerto Rico did not stop.
On November 1, 1950, two members of the Puerto Rican National Party, Dorisola Grieselio Torresola and Clazo Oscar Collazo, orchestrated an assassination attempt against U.S. President Harry Truman.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="12" > assassination operation ended without even crossing the first door</h1>
It was said to be planning, but the two Assassins did not do their homework at all, and they did not even know whether Truman was in the palace that day.
When the two Assassins "walked" to the door of Blair's palace, they suddenly drew their guns and fired, launching a "charge" at the palace. They knocked down a presidential bodyguard at the gate; but the bodyguard shot back before he could catch his breath, killing Dorisola; the lonely Clazo was quickly captured by a large crowd of bodyguards and policemen.
When the assassination took place, Truman and the First Lady heard gunshots upstairs. But the operation ended quickly and did no harm to Truman.
In the history of Puerto Rico, there have been many armed anti-American uprisings, but most of them have failed; among them, the insurgent army in 1930 attacked the city strategically, was invincible, and even finally succeeded in establishing the Republic of Puerto Rico. But in the end, it was ruthlessly suppressed by the US military.
