Sponsored by the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and undertaken by the Shanghai Performance Industry Association, the "2021 Shanghai Excellent Private Theater Troupe Red Theme Drama to the Yangtze River Delta Publicity and Promotion Tour Series Activities" was held in the Yangtze River Delta region from October 31 to November 10. During this period, five red plays by four private theater troupes in Shanghai will tour in Ninghai, Zhejiang And Changshu and Taicang in Jiangsu Province, in order to showcase the new achievements of the creation and performance of Shanghai private theater troupes in the past two years.

This year coincides with the centenary of the founding of the Party, so the tour activities are all Shanghai award-winning red original works, two of which will "trace the roots" and return to the place where the story takes place. The first stop of the tour was Ninghai, Zhejiang, the hometown of Rou Shi, one of the "Five Martyrs of the Left Alliance".
On November 1st, the Shanghai opera "Early Spring", created by the Shanghai Wenhui Shanghai Opera Troupe based on Roushi, was performed locally, kicking off the first performance of the promotion tour. On November 2, in Changshu, Jiangsu Province, where the story of "Ludang Tinder" took place, the red classic Shanghai opera "Ludang Tinder" of Shanghai Xindongyuan Shanghai Opera Troupe will be staged at the Changshu Poly Grand Theater.
In addition, from November 2 to 10, the excellent drama "Red Theme Exhibition Week" of Shanghai Private Theater Troupe will also be held in Taicang, Jiangsu Province. In the meantime, plays such as "Flying Over the Seventh Bridge", "Early Spring", "Under the Ginkgo Tree" and "Desperate Situation" will be concentrated in the Taicang Grand Theatre.
At the same time, the "Yangtze River Delta Region Private Academy Group Exchange Symposium" was also held in Ninghai this year, which has become an important content every year and has been paid more and more attention by relevant departments and practitioners in the Yangtze River Delta region. On October 31st, several representative private theater groups participating in the tour in Shanghai introduced their experiences from different angles at the exchange forum, so that audiences and peers in the Yangtze River Delta region had a deeper understanding of the survival mode and creation methods of Shanghai private theater troupes.
At the exchange meeting, Wang Huili, head of the Shanghai Wenhui Shanghai Opera Troupe, was very emotional about the work being able to perform in Roushi's hometown, and she also introduced the troupe's process of creating and performing "Early Spring", "This time 'tracing the roots' and returning to Ninghai, the hometown of hero Roushi, I can't help but feel excited. Ninghai is an ancient city with a long history, located on the coast of the East China Sea, with mountainous and beautiful scenery. It is this place of great talent that gave birth to the writer and revolutionary Roushi. Standing in the homeland of the hero at this moment, the soft stone who broke through the feudal shackles and bravely threw himself into the revolution seemed to stand in front of his eyes, showing my generation a revolutionary road to the new world. ”

Shanghai New Dongyuan Shanghai Opera Troupe is already participating in this activity for the third year. This year, the troupe's two red Shanghai operas will carry out a "root-seeking" tour to visit the place where the story takes place, of which "Ludang Tinder" will not only go to "Shajiabang" to perform, "Flying Over the Seventh Bridge" created to liberate the historical background of Minhang Qibao Town will also go to Nantong, the hometown of the heroine of the play, to tour Nantong.
At the exchange meeting, shen Huiqin, the head of the troupe, introduced the troupe's experience in creating "Flying Over the No. 7 Bridge" and a series of original Shanghai opera works, and introduced the troupe's consistent tradition of "making good plays, rehearsing good plays, and acting good plays" with Shanghai rural sounds.

In this series of activities of the Yangtze River Delta publicity and promotion tour, Shanghai Qinyuan Shanghai Opera Troupe brought a new work that reflects Shanghai's "rural revitalization", "Under the Ginkgo Tree". The play tells the story of an ordinary village party general branch secretary who overcame many difficulties, won one hard battle after another such as demolishing violations, and led the broad masses to realize that "green mountains and green waters are golden mountains and silver mountains".
Wang Qin, head of the Shanghai Qinyuan Shanghai Opera Troupe, which performs an average of more than 400 performances a year, told the story of the troupe as a "Shanghai opera light cavalry" at the exchange meeting: "In the 20 years since its establishment, the troupe has insisted on serving the grassroots and serving the countryside as the focus of its work, and almost all the villages and villages on the outskirts of Shanghai have left footprints. Not only to stand on the stage of commercial performances, but also to deliver performances at the doorstep of the people, and to meet the cultural distribution needs of nearly 200 grass-roots units in the city every year. Shanghai Alky Art Troupe's suspense drama "Desperate Situation" will also participate in the tour at the Taicang Grand Theatre, Director Sun Feng said that Shanghai has a lot of policy support for private theaters, and everyone has created a lot, but in the Yangtze River Delta region, the audience and the market are not familiar enough with the works of Shanghai private theaters, and the annual tour promotion activities are very conducive to shanghai private theaters to open up this broad market.
Every November, the Shanghai Performance Industry Association will organize the outstanding plays of the Shanghai Private Theater Troupe to go to the Yangtze River Delta to promote the performances, which is the fourth time this year. Wei Zhi, president of the Shanghai Performance Industry Association, said that the Yangtze River Delta region is one of the most prosperous, active and fastest growing areas for cultural and performing arts activities, and its performance market has always been interconnected, and has always been a "wind vane" for the development trend of the national performance market. Every year, a large number of performances are completed in the Yangtze River Delta region, especially in Jiangsu and Zhejiang. The red-themed performances held in Ninghai, Zhejiang and the Yangtze River Delta region were also reported to the audience in the Yangtze River Delta region and tested.
