"Bear with watching your peers become new ghosts, and angrily look for small poems in the knife bush." There is no place to write, and the moonlight shines like water on the clothes. I have lost very good friends, and China has lost very good youth. In February 1933, Lu Xun wrote an article entitled "For the Memory of Forgetting" in the magazine "Outpost", a publication of the Left Alliance. This article was written in honor of the five martyrs of the Left League. On that day, the second anniversary of their sacrifice, Lu Xun expressed his infinite mourning for the martyrs who died, and one of the martyrs was Lu Xun's close friend, Roushi.

Rou Shi, formerly known as Zhao Pingfu. People from Ninghai, Zhejiang. The "Soft Stone", which is called in the annals of history, is his pen name. Zhao Dijiang, the eldest son of Roushi, recalled that there was a small stone bridge in his hometown in eastern Zhejiang, engraved with the words "Golden Bridge Soft Stone". His father signed Roushi and also used Jinqiao as a pen name. "I saw 'For the Memory of Forgetting,' and that's when I learned how my father sacrificed." Zhao Dijiang said.

No. 23 Jingyunli, Yokohama Road, is a new starting point for the road of Roushi Revolutionary Literature. In June 1928, Rou Shi, who had been the director of the Ninghai County Education Bureau, came to Shanghai to escape the pursuit of the Kuomintang reactionaries. In September, Roushi was introduced by his fellow villagers to Jingyunli No. 23 to meet Mr. Lu Xun, the founder of the New Literary Movement. The two formed a deep teacher-student friendship. Lu Xun transferred his residence to RouShi and others to live in, and specially called a few young people to come and have a meal with him.

In Jingyun, where he lived with Lu Xun, Roushi wrote and wrote the novel "February". He overlapped the shadows of himself and many young intellectuals on the protagonist Xiao Jianqiu. After the novel was drafted, Roushi handed the novel to Lu Xun, who personally proofread the whole book and wrote a small quotation for it. In November 1929, "February" was published in Shanghai Chunchao Bookstore.

Under the recommendation of Lu Xun, Roushi met and became acquainted with many cultural celebrities in Shanghai. Roushi and Lu Xun and other writers in Shanghai established the "Chaohua Society", organized the "Chaohua" periodical, and at the same time published the "Yiyuan Chaohua" art series, and joined the Chinese Left-Wing Writers Alliance as an executive member of the "Left Alliance". In January 1929, Lu Xun entrusted the "Language Silk" to Roushi, and co-edited the "Selected Works of Modern Woodcuts" with Roushi and published a collection of co-translated works. The common history of running the journal and the love of woodcuts made Lu Xun and Roushi more and more intimate. Since then, Roushi has become Lu Xun's right-hand man in revolutionary literary activities.

Lu Xun's promotion and help to Roushi and the spiritual encouragement and influence given to Roushi in his interactions have had a great impact on Roushi's life and creation. Zhao Dekun, the second son of Roushi, recalled, "The organization transferred me to the Central Academy of Drama and studied for four years as a graduate student. At that time, Mr. Lu Xun's lover Xu Guangping lived in Beihai Park. She said that Lu Xun could also be comforted in the Spirit of Heaven, and now Rou Shi's younger son was so old. ”

At the Memorial Hall of the Chinese Left-Wing Writers' Union, there are relics of Roushi's "handmade" works, including pen holders and seals made by himself. At this time, Roushi was not only a cultural worker who prospered China's revolutionary literary and artistic creation, but also a revolutionary who promoted the new cultural movement. He wrote aggressively in the genres of novels, one-act plays, poetry, and prose, and cried out in his words to transform the world. Roushi's works such as "Death in the Old Times", "February", and "Mother for Slaves" talk about the sufferings of the people, which are not only widely circulated in China, but also later translated into foreign languages such as English, Russian, French, German and Indian, and have influenced the world.

"Left-wing writers express their pursuit of a better society and the pursuit of the ideal of fairness and justice through paper and pen, through literary creation." Zhu Hongzhao, a professor at the Marxist College of Fudan University, said that the value of left-wing literature is a powerful weapon for revolutionary literature to resist the cultural encirclement and suppression of the Kuomintang and break through the dark cultural and ideological rule. It is a generation of intellectuals who are trying to save the chinese nation from extinction.

In January 1931, Roushi was arrested at the Oriental Inn. February 7, ten days later, is the first day of the Chinese New Year. In the gray sky, flying snow, Roushi and Yin Fu, Ouyang Li'an, Hu Yipin, Li Weisen, Feng Zhen and 23 other revolutionary comrades were secretly killed by the Kuomintang reactionaries. Lu Xun was distraught and indignant, and immediately wrote "Chinese Proletarian Revolutionary Literature and the Blood of the Precursor" and "A Short Biography of Roushi", which were published in the inaugural issue of "Outpost" "Commemorating the War Dead".

In 1926, five years before the sacrifice of the "Twenty-Four Martyrs", it was in Longhua, the day before the Qingming Dynasty, the peach blossoms bloomed just right, and Roushi and his friends traveled to Longhua together, admiring the landscape flowers, and taking photos under the peach blossom trees. Among the few photographs left by Roushi, this is the first one taken in Shanghai. On the back is the inscription of Roushi in red pen: "Photography in front of the Niangniang Palace of Longhua Temple in Shanghai, the day before The Qingming Dynasty of Shi Bingyin". After Roushi's sacrifice, Lu Xun indignantly wrote down the following words: "As for the famous place to see the peach blossoms, it is Longhua and the slaughterhouse, and several of my young friends died there, so I will not go." Today, in a meadow of Longhua, peach blossoms are still blooming, and they have been endowed with the revolutionary spirit of martyrs. Just as the so-called "blood-colored peach blossom sacrifice Longhua", in the Stele Forest Area of longhua martyrs' cemetery, there is a famous "prison poem": "Longhua has looked up to the high wind throughout the ages, and the heroic soldier has not died in vain." The peach blossoms outside the wall are bloody, generally bright and generally red. ”
