Anguo Temple is located at the mouth of Yifeng North Street in Xianyang City, north of Biyuan, south of Weishui, the temple is wide from north to south, narrow from east to west, and is in the shape of a courtyard. According to records, Anguo Temple was founded in Sui, flourished in Tang, Ming Wanli rebuilt in 1573, folk have such a legend, first there is Anguo Temple, then there is Xianyang County, Anguo Temple is the earliest Buddhist temple in Xianyang, the Old Xianyang County Chronicle contains "Anguo Temple, stone Buddha one, bronze statue three, one Buddha, one Guan Emperor, one immeasurable" to the eve of liberation, with the destruction of the temple and lost, the existing Silent Monk Monument, stored in the Xianyang City Museum, Anguo Temple is also because of the Silent Illumination Monk Monument on the Anguo Temple characters raided its name. In 1990, the Weicheng District People's Government announced that the former site of Anguo Temple was the second batch of district-level key cultural relics protection units.
Anguo Temple also has the earliest administrative office in Xianyang, which is mainly structured with brick and wood, two floors above and below, three rooms at the bottom, and the middle gate as the main road. It was once a secret base of the Communist Party, which directly transmitted the information of the Party Central Committee, through which a lot of information and intelligence was sent to Yan'an, and it was also a transfer station for the delivery of grain and ammunition to the People's Liberation Army, where the wounded and sick of the Red Regime were established, later converted into hospitals, and after liberation became the administrative office of Xianyang, making a major contribution to the victory of the Chinese revolution.
There is a stone plaque next to the administrative office, which was given to the famous general Yin Huaxing of Xianyang by the Kangxi Imperial Pen in the 36th year of the Imperial Pen, the plaque is 340 cm long, 89 cm wide and 22 cm thick, with four big characters of "Deep Temperance" written on it, and the inscription is "Treasure of the Kangxi Imperial System" around the carved Erlong Opera Bead pattern, and the cultural relics and calligraphy art value are extremely high.
